Goths really are being different-different from you, and different from mainstream culture. Also, when they get a bit older it seems that they set themselves apart more from each other as well, and develope their own style, or even switch to something completely different from gothic- but equally or even more unusual.

When I was little, my dad would give me a tiny sip here and there of beer- I always hated it, and I actually think that that's what kept me from drinking for such a long time. So I'd say that little sips here and there are fine....but getting them drunk? Definitely not!

That's just silly, kids need to find themselves, and break out of their shells at that age. My parent's gave me so much grief over my personal style, and appearance when I was growing up, I became depressed, my grades plummeted (I went from a-b honor roll to C's, and then finally in my senior year I nearly didn't graduate because of all the classes I failed) I was a good kid, I didn't drink, or do drugs, I was responsible- but my parent's limited me despite this, and because of my appearance didn't trust me. I'm 23 now, and STILL resent them for how they made me feel. Also, my cousin who is a year younger than me, my aunt treated him the same way, and the same thing happened- but I talked to her last Christmas, and she told me how horrible, and stupid she felt for being like that, because it truly isn't what's on the outside that counts, and people are silly who think otherwise.

I work the phones and take orders in person at a pizza place, so I get to talk to a lot of different people, and the occasional stutterer. Most of the time, I'll just let them finish, but if they're obviously having a really hard time saying one thing and I know what it's going to be, I'll just say 'Okie dokie, no problem' and put it in to the order. No matter what, though, I always smile and am patient .

If other women do this for the same reason I do, it's simply because of tension or stress. If I sit, but I have a lot on my mind, whether or not it's conscious or subconscious, I just can't sit still.

I never saw a point in waiting...I wanted to be experienced before I got married, and didn't want my wedding night to be filled with unfamiliar territory. I lost my virginity when I was 14, and I'm extremely fond of that memory. Of course, I did end up marrying the guy I lost my virginity to, but even when we went through rough times while I was in highschool, I never once regretted it. And the night of our wedding, when we were both too tired too have sex, it was ok, it wasn't that big of a deal. If we had waited, it would have caused all kinds of problems and regrets, because it would have either been horrible and forced, or it would have waited for another day.

I read, but only when I'm at home. I won't hop on in to the toilet at work with a book in hand, unlike all my male co-workers - which is pretty handy, by the way, because if I really have to pee and I see someone heading in that direction with a book in hand, I can head them off so I won't have to wait for an hour before the "smoke" clears.

Well, lets see, when I was younger, I always wore these awesome pants that were fitted in the waist, but had legs that were typically as wider than my waist, which was, at the time, 34-36. I LOVED my pants...I was self concious about my figure and they covered it up quite well, the pockets were huge so I could store anything in them, and they were always cool, even during the summertime...

Yes, we fart just as much as you guys do. I know not all women are the same, but I know that I will NEVER purposely fart in front of anyone...I have accidentally in front of my husband, and a few other friends, but I'd never just let one rip for no reason...it's just gross. I don't want to subject anyone else to that *L*.

I would have to say, that, although race isn't really a factor...or, well, wouldn't be if I wasn't married *L*...if I had to choose, I'd say Native Americans..maybe I've just watched Dances with Wolves one too many times? Wind in his hair (Rodney A. Grant) is incredibly hot... I also, for some odd reason can't resist drooling over Maori men (I'm pretty sure it's the facial tattooing...body modification is *incredibly* hot.)

I've only worn fake nails once, for my wedding. My real nails are really short, and I break them alot, they generally look pretty awful...and so the only reason I got fake nails, was so they'd look nice and presentable. I'm not, sure, but I think the reason most women do it is because it's so much harder to keep real nails. They Break easier, they're slow to grow, etc, etc. And Fake nails don't have to be incredibly long, or blatantly fake...most of the people I know who wear them, wear them very well, and they look completely natural.

Being from the south, sweet potatoes and collard greens where ALWAYS on the table and my grandparent's house, and everyone ate them...but me...maybe your friend is in the same boat as I am- I just don't like foods that look, or look like they'd feel icky *L*...all of my friends (black & white) gawk at me when I say I can't stand gravy, and grits...but...ewwwwww....none of those foods settle with me...of course, I love mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, fried chicken (before I became a vegetarian), cucumbers....sliced tomatoes with a little salt..*drools*..anything southern...as long as it isn't slimey. :)

in reply to: Why should I tip? #17017

I would have to agree with one of the other people who posted. We should insist that employers pay waitresses, waiters, and delivery drivers more instead of no longer tipping. Why punish the people who rely on tips for a living? My husband works at the same pizza place that I do as a delivery driver. He makes 5.75 an hour, and a dollar per delivery (which is taxed), so our lives are pretty precarious. When we go out anywhere, if the service is at least decent, we tip AT LEAST $5...buffet, OR regular restaurant.... My friend, Sean, worked at Ryan's (Buffet place) and claims that it was quite a bit harder than working at a regular place because they have to bus their own tables. If nothing else, it's a good idea to tip simply because, especially if you're planning on being a repeat customer, you will receive better service. IT's common practice, where I work, for the drivers to take deliveries to known tippers first. Anyone who is rude, or is known to stiff is at the bottom of our list.

I don't really think that counts...mainly because you're still underage, and you don't just like them because they're young. In my experience, there isn't too much different between being 13-14 and 16 (I started dating my husband when I was 13, and he was 16...we dated for almost 8 years, and were married last May).I think it would only really be a big deal if you were attracted to preteens or something like that o_O .

I've been doing kegels ever since I read about them years before I became sexually active, and now I swear by them. My husband has nearly fisted me before (and his hands are enormous-he wear's a size 12 1/2 ring on his ring finger), but every time we begin forplay, one or two fingers (even though I'm aroused) are more than enough to please me, and his penis, which is average, fits perfectly....so to make a long story not quite so long, I'm a firm believer that a woman can bear a child, and then become perfectly tight once more if she keeps up with her kegels...otherwise...I have no idea *L*
