You are kidding right? I think you need to study up on a little history. The atrocities committed on the Indians included but went beyond slavery, try genocide, stealing their land and prison camps. Italians were invaded and enslaved by the Moors. Mexicans again enslaved, rape, indoctrination, genocide, and generations of peonage. I doubt you can come up with a people who haven’t suffered at least enslavement.

Sorry but I don’t buy it. You could tell that kind of story about any group’s food. Indians have just as much right to be ashamed of smoked salmon, Italians could look at it that way and be ashamed of spaghetti, Mexicans could hate to be seen eating a taco. But they just don’t…..yet. Maybe people have to be educated into being ashamed of their delicious food.

I’ve had two serious relationships with women five years older and one with someone ten years older. The main thing is these women want to have more of an upper hand than they would in the opposite situation. As a guy the constant struggle for the upper hand gets so old and is so draining. And then of course women love to embrace their favorite double standards. Leaves me craving an old fashioned relationship with the man in charge.

Thanks for your response. But the question was for you, I can see how it would be a completely different dynamic for a female. To answer you. She was pretty, she was happy, she had a wonderful energy about her, she really did light up the room As an older guy now I would envy her parents for having such a beam of sunlight for a child. But then I was younger, the girl’s age and was dating a girl with a degree, issues and an awful attitude. So I think it fair to ask, a happy well adjusted person but not intelligent or a neurotic, unhappy person with a phd and a boatload of issues? And I think the answer is clear if those are your only choices. Again many not be so easy from a female perspective. Would it be ethical? Is it any less ethical than finding yourself with someone who although very intelligent is an emotional trainwreck? Would it necessarily be unhealthy or dysfunctional to have a wife who is a bit less intelligent than average? It might be a challenge to be married to someone who is happy and well adjusted but cant add double digit numbers, but a blind person would offer challenges, or a deaf person, do you automatically see dating any handicapped person as inherently unethical or somehow sick or some form of taking advantage? Isn’t it possible these people have something to offer?

Just look at the way Jesus conducted himself. He stood up for the leper, the harlot, he told the story about the good Samaritan. You know if he showed up today he would be standing up for the gay. Sure the bible calls homosexuality a sin. But we are all sinners.

I’m part Shoshone/Bannock. I live within 100 miles of where my ancestors lived for generations. My inheritance was stolen at the point of a gun and now I have to work for these people and be grateful for the opportunity. I’m going to be pretty offended if the descendants of slaves get theirs and I don’t get mine. Back to your question. What if the descendants of slave owners are also descendants of slaves?

In you case I think it would be your mother, and I doubt you would have much say. I’m glad you value education, times have changed, in your generation there is little chance for someone who hasn’t gone on to higher education. I guess you did answer would you let your daughter date a retard. But how bout you? Would it be ethical? What if she was hot and had a great personality and attitude? Look at poor Jessica Simpson, she obviously needs adult supervision to make it through a day.

The guy has the gas pedal, the girl is in charge of the brakes. You are 50 and asking this? If some guy gives you any problem, what a great way to screen out the jerks.

A friend of mine does hiring in his government job. Qualification for the actual job is his last concern. He is highly pressured to hire a minority, a female, someone with disability and military service. If he hires enough of these people then he is finally free to hire someone with the education and experience to actually do the job, but still better yet if this person is not a white male.

Price of housing is all over the map, cost of living is a bit higher, great public transportation on Oahu. I knew very few people who came to Hawaii and made more. Also Hawaiians and Asians are going to get hiring preference and racism against whites and blacks is open in certain areas and situations. Great place to live but challenging, especially making a decent living and dealing with living on a small island.

I have a French friend. He says French people think it is phony to act all happy and friendly when they are at work, where they don’t really want to be. Last trip here he commented that a girl smiled at him passing on the sidewalk…said in France only a prostitute would smile at a stranger. I noticed that he was much more ‘Frank’ in his conversation, not really into being tactful. Fine with me as long as I get to act that way too.

It will affect insurance costs when they are all added to spouse benifits. Next step, they will demand that ‘legally married’ gays deserve the same consideration for adoption as other legally married people. How do you defend M/F marrages getting preferencial treatment? Marrage has always been defined as between a man and a woman. Now that we are dumping the definition how is it fair to not include other non traditional marrages. I see no fair argument agianst polygamy if gay marrage is made legal. Personally I just don’t care but there you have it.

We pick what we consider moral and then live by it. Right? If the two people are comfortable morally about this agreement, how can it be amoral? Nothing we do is moral to 100% of the world’s population.

Ok, why did you marry a woman who won’t give a BJ? And why would you want to do something that she obviouly hates? If the marrage is otherwise perfect shut up already. What if she wanted to do something to you that you found disgusting and kept bothering you about it? I have never dated a girl who didn’t get off on giving or recieving oral. Dated one who hated finishing, which made it no fun to finish.
