IN my 40+ years of sex with a variety of men, I’ve never encountered anyone that has sex the way you describe. Since you wrote this question in 2005, I don’t know if you married this guy or not. If not, I hope you’ve had “normal sex”. Did you enjoy that more. Sex shouldn’t be painful. If it is, see a gynecologist ASAP. In any case, no guy should bully6 or intimidate you into doing something that gives him satisfaction and gives you physical pain Just Curious

I”m multi-orgasmic and feel the same way as your girlfriend. Besides, I’m too busy enjoying myself and my partner to start counting. Why does it matter? So you can brag that you “gave” your girlfriend 20 orgasms? As long as you’re both satisfied, who cares? Just enjoy it. Just Curious

YOu obviously have limited experience or are hanging out with the wrong women. Some of us value personality – kindness, honesty, affection, sense of humor + a bit of physical attraction It’s true that women tend to prefer a modicum of security. Before effective birth control, women were stuck with a lot of kids and needed a man with money to support the family. NOt so true any more Why do men who flaunt their money with fancy cars, expensive gifts and restaurants complain that women are all “gold diggers”. If that’s all you have to offer, guys, that’s what you’ll get. If you offer affection and kindness and good listening skills, you’ll attract other kinds of women. Just Curious

Sounds like he’s a selfish bastard, esp. if you have hemorrhoids. Nobody should be forced to have sex that is painful or otherwise objectionable. If lack of anal sex is “ruining his marriage,” your well rid of the guy. Just Curious

Yes! Enjoy it. You must have a good sexual partner who takes the time to get you aroused. Don’t settle for less. Just Curious

This is a very belated response, but just tell her the truth. Duh! It may be embarassing, but a good relationship is based on honesty, combined with tactfulness and kindness. It’s OK to experiment sexually. How else will you know if you like something. Some things you’ll like, others you won’t. No biggie Just Curious

Since most STDs including AIDS are transmitted via semen, it would be insane for a woman to swallow unless she & the guy were in a long term monogamous relationship and both tested for all STDs. Otherwise, the risk isn’t worth it. Just Curious

According to comic Dennis Miller the answer is that it combines the 2 things men like best: sex and just lying around doing nothing. Just Curious

The ideal situation: Both partners enjoying giving pleasure to the other one. That’s a win-win situation. Nothing turns me on more than knowing I”m giving him pleasure. If getting pleasure was preferable, wouldn’t people always prefer masturbation to sex? Just Curious

Yes & No? I certainly want someone who’s smarter. One thing a lot of people said about Bush before his first & second term: Yeah, I’d like to see him as my president. He’s the kind of guy I’d want to have a beer with. I thought that was idiotic and I was right! HOWEVER, Bill Clinton succeeded because although he is very intelligent &, educated, he is very personable and relates well to everyone, including the common person. Apparently, Adlai Stephenson lost his Presidential election because he sounded “too educated”. I guess people are afraid that a “brainiac” wouldn’t understand the problems of those who are less educated. Just Curious

Do you remember Randy Newman’s song, “Short People”? It infuriated me until I realized it was a parody. (It was a parody, wasn’t it?) I’m 5’1″. Pants are always too long, even petites although i was thrilled when capris came out since they were the perfect length for me. I get frustrated not being able to reaching things. AFter getting a footstool, life is easier at home. Yesterday, after parking my car after 6pm, I couldn’t read the parking meter info on the rates & hours because the meter was so high. Just Curious

It would be ridiculous to think that regional accents are rude. Some people enjoy others who are different and enjoy hearing different accents; others are fearful of anything different. When it comes to Southern accents, my college speech teacher said that (rightly or wrongly) Northerners think that women with Southern accents are charming, that men with Southern accents are dumber than average. I don’t think homophobic people think very deeply nor do they empathize enough with others to care what happens to them. The suicide argument is not likely to change their minds. It’s sad, but true Just Curious

Please get counseling and medical help for depression. If you’re afraid to come out to your parents, perhaps you could tell them you’d like to see a doctor for your depression. If they ask why you’re depressed, tell them you don’t know why, you just are feeling sad all the time. Hopefully, they would agree to that. Some people are depressed not because of outside reasons but because of a chemical imbalance. You don’t need a reason to seek help for depression. Don’t wait! Just Curious
