Yes, Michael Richards is a racist and his stupid attempts to right his wrong only hurts him even more because his hidden prejudices toward blacks was exposed in such a public way. Seriously, when the guys were being disruptive, did he have to call them niggers? Why couldn't he insult them in other ways by pointing out their stupidity, not spew hateful remarks using the historically derogatory word meaning to insult blacks in America. Because the ignorant 'nigger' mindset was manifested in his actions, he called them out on it, which is why it came out so easily. He then regretted it because of his career and the later repercussions, but since his blatant racism rolled out of his tongue so easily, he obviously views blacks in a stereotypical manner.

I attend a majority white university (University of North Florida) and when I first arrived to live on campus as a freshman, I had a sort of culture shock because 8 out of 10 people on campus here are suburban whites coming from a life very different from mine. I'm used to it now, but many so-called minorities aren't affected by this if they live in communities where there are many people who look like them. In this case, you don't even think about the fact that you are of a certain ethnicity and you are only reminded when you are in a multicultural setting.

As a black man living in Florida, there are quite a few Hispanic immigrants living here. I don't have a problem with Hispanic immigrants if that's what you are referring to (i will assume so) but I, like most Americans, believe that illegal aliens regardless of nationality don't belong here. I frankly don't understand why illegal aliens have rights in the first place. In the news the other day, i even heard that illegal aliens are suing a comapny for firing them because they were illegal aliens! How bizarre is that?

Are black people not human? Of course we get dandruff! As a black man, I'm more conscious about dandruff because I have short hair, as with many black men. When you have short hair, you must wash your hair more often or youll actually see the dandruff on your scalp! My sister has long hair and she gets dandruff real bad, but youll never know because she washes her hair. Im curious, what makes you think black people dont get dandruff? You must dont know many blacks or you need to diverisify your friends a little more. Dandruff is dead skin that accumulates every day on everbody's head.

That's just the visible portion of the spectrum of gay men . Most gay men are invisible and appear straight, but then again some are even very macho. The visible portion of gay men out there are the those who are flaming.

That's a very good point and it makes perfect sense. I never thought about it as i have thought a bout why lesbians are accepted in society as well as they are . In terms of power and ideal, anybody trying to conform to those in power are more accepted than those who arent, like men in dresses. The same reason why madonna and Brittany Spears can get away with kissing without being called lesbians: Its what men, AKA those in power like in general.

I don't think gold teeth are a status symbol but just a style that's popular among a certain demgraphic of black folk: Young, mostly Southern hip hop fans and those characterized as being 'hood'. Mostly in the poorer or lower-class black areas in the South they are common.

Well, there are many asians in my classes and I never noticed any racism among asians against us, but i do notice they tend to stick to their own and isolate themselves from the rest of the university social scene probably more than any other group. From that isolation and the nonexistent social interaction between both groups i can imagine stereotypes easily forming and being reinforced by other members of both groups

I agree with you 110% People are turning this into a racial debate over who dribbles a ball and the frewuency of people of the same color. Its very ridiculous like the new dress code they have on the nba: what a player wears has nothing to do with skill

Probably an isolated case. It's kind of how blacks represent the race when one messes up. I'm pretty sure every Guyanese girl wasn't hardwired to the same program. People are different, not robots

Who in the world can be genetically inclined to play a sport? Any sport? And have the nerve to imply that man made sports are somehow genetically encoded because blacks dominate many sports in america. Well, sorry to disappoint you, but its not. I dont think the smartest geneticist in the world can make it genetic either. Its called skill and practice. While you look at the end result, have you ever think that maybe the amount of practice and playing on the field correlate with the skills they have to achieve? Its like arguing that whites are naturally born to lead all the major corporations and all major operations within the US becuase they are somehow genetically predetermined, as if culture is also genetic. Well sir, circumstances, culture, socioeconomic, and eduational factors play a bigger role than some animalistic genetics theory. Also, your outsider view on the decisions and upbringing of some of there NBA stars is the source of your closemindedness for the sports focus in some neighborhoods that 'makes no sense to you'

I never understood why people said stuff like that. I'm not Asian or anything but why does it matter whether they speak in their native tongue when THEY ARE PROVIDING YOU A SERIVCE? I can see if they weren't doing their job or something, but as long as youre getting what you paid for, who cares what they say?

I see hardly any blacks wearing tags on their clothes. Its kind of like saying why do whites worship Abercrombie? As with anything, those scarce few ignorant individuals you refer to are simply trying to superficially display the brand or obvious price paid for something expensive that they can't really afford. The affluent don't do such things; you know that their clothes are expensive by the style or texture or material of the clothes, not the brand.
