I work for a big wholesale club, and they always make us skip our breaks and work overtime. It's not uncommon for us to go 4+ hours without a break or lunch, nor for us to work 12+ hours in a day. You'd think they would hire more people to help things out, right? Well, they fire people instead, which creates more work for everyone. Recently in my warehouse, people kept getting hurt (hitting their head on steel beams, forklift accidents, etc.) and now they are cutting hours in half, giving us breaks, and hiring lots of people. There aren't as many injuries now, and people seem to be happier too.

My wife has a butt - as does my mom, aunt, sister-in-law, friends, etc. Look around! I've seen plenty of black girls with flat behinds, just as often as white girls. Frankly, I prefer a girl with curves, like the ideal women from the '40s.

how can you be certain that 98% of the calls are from white people if they're on the phone? i think everyone complains if they feel as if some injustice has been commited against them.

i work for Costco, and a majority of the people who shop there have large families (3+ kids) and they are just stocking up on things for lunches for the kids, and easy to make dinners (frozen chicken, fish, etc.). i doubt most people are intentionally being rude. My guess is they are just teasing you.

my mom is a teacher and she comes home with stories about parents everyday! most parents don't want to take any part in the education of their children. They think education happens at school only. They don't hold their children responsible for their actions, or homework. kids are getting more violent at school too. one kid would pull other kids off the monkey bars, cut girls' hair, and even stabbed a teacher with a pencil. the parents said 'oh, he's just being a little boy...' and nothing ever got done.

I don't think that learning English over Spanish is 'acting white.' It's doing what needs to be done to succeed. If you immigrated to say, France, you would have to learn the language to succeed. I think there is a general misconception that you know either English or Spanish, but not both. So in my mind, learning English over another language in America is essential for success. Look at the guy that plays Fes on 'That 70's Show.' He didn't know any English when he came to America. He learned and is now successful. His friends who didn't learn English are far less successful. Being fluent in English gives you an advantage, but knowing more than English gives you more of an advantage.

I've wondered the samething for a long time. I think it has something to do with empowering each other. Frankly I think it just boils down to ignorance just like if a white person calls a black person a nigger. In this area there seems to be a double standard too. Blacks can use nigger in their subculture towards other people, but the second it comes out of anyone else's mouth and is directed towards a black person, it's automatically a racist slur eg., Jennifer Lopez whether or not it is meant to be.

If you were white and asking why do black guys always ask me out and why don't white guys ask me out, I'd be willing to bet this thread would be full of 'quit being racist' responses. I'm not saying you're racist, each person is entitled to be with whomever they choose. Can anyone see a double standard here?

I took an anatomy class and this was discussed. There is a condition of the lower spine, I believe it's lordosis, where the lower spine curves out more than normal causing Blacks' butts to stick out more. It effects all races from what I remember, but is predominately among the black community kind of like sickle cell.

I'm white and I don't let my dog's tongue near my face. My black neighbors however, are always smoochin' on their dogs.

Eminem is a disgrace to mankind. The great white hope, more like the great white dope. Rap and hip hop aren't imitated, they are capitalized upon by corporate record labels and the fashion industry. Ever notice how music on the radio comes and goes more than you change your underwear? Rap music is exploited! Blacks aren't anymore talented than anyone else. Everyone has talent in some area. If you know white culture as well as you claim to, you would know white people don't imitate your 'language' most of us are making fun of how ignorant and lazy your 'language' is. As for hair styles, who's going out and getting weaves to make their hair long, and getting their hair pressed to make it straight? Before you point your finger outward, try looking inward. THERE IS NO SUPERIOR RACE! Why doesn't anyone understand that?

I'm a 19-year-old white guy, and after Sept. 11, I have looked at Arab people differently. For me, it's hard to not look at them differently because all I hear about is violence from that culture. I hear about how the men oppress the women, and how their culture declares war in the name of Allah, yet this same religion they declare war in the name of is based on a peaceful life. I don't hate Arabs, but I do look at them differently and will continue to look at them differently until I see them as a whole doing something to show they are peaceful and do not hate Americans. Frankly, I don't have much respect for a culture that hates Americans.

When Halle Berry won, I thought it was a good thing. But aren't the oscars for talent? When we start awarding people based on the oppression their culture endured, somethings wrong. Let's focus on the person's accomplishments and not their color.
