I’d much rather see a black man with an education than another Snoop Dog preaching more empty values through MTV. I could see how white people might see a black man with an education occupying a higher station in society than they and therefore having the power to ‘Lord it over’ them, as it were. I think, though, that this is kind of an almost primitive instinctual fear that exists in the back of white pople’s minds, but is not rationally considered.

I think blacks and Hispanics are more willing to get into a shouting match knowing or counting on it not escalating into a fight or a shooting – and it may also be more important to them to save some face by shouting back. Yes? No? I’d really like to know the answer to this. White folks may be thinking that the inevitable conclusion of any confrontation on the road between strangers is a wreck, a fight or death, so they avoid it.

I would have the full intention of stopping, but if access to it was easy I would probably slip and look at it every now and then. Looking at it bugs the heck out of my wife because she thinks it will lead to me cheating on her, but it won’t. It just doesn’t work that way for men. We like porn on its own; it isn’t necessarilly a substitiute for our mate or a sign of dissatisfaction. It’s like junk food for the brain: convenient, tastes good but not good for you. That being said, I think your feelings should be respected, especially if you are maintaining a good sexual relationship.

It’s because your education translates as a possible way to put you in a place of power over white folks, and you could possibly abuse that power. It’s more of a primitive reaction than thought-out. Personally, The Snoop Dogs and their emulators are more threatening because they preach counter-productive, dead-end values.

Scientist have yet to identify the groove gene, but maybe someday… Seriously, I think dancing is not modelled to us at an early age like I assume it is for black children. But I also think we are conditioned to assume white folks can’t get their groove on, or look stupid when they do. We might also feel less comfortable with uninhibited a** shaking, which looks good on a dancing body.

Do you have the facts to back up these statements: -Affirmative Action has helped white women more than any other group -‘reverse racism’ or ‘losing jobs to less-qualified minorities’ exists far more in their imagination than in reality. this brings up something that I’ve noticed. Younger blacks (and whites and hispanics) make it a point to spend the most time they possibly can crossing the street. I’m sure it’s all designed to piss me off and inconvenience me but it seems like such a weak gesture of rebellion that it’s almost funny. Is their identity so dependant on being ‘against’ whitey’s rules and whitey’s world that it dictates the most mundane of their daily activites, such as crossing the street?

I certainly don’t mean to minimize your family’s suffering, but here goes: Maybe Germany should pay reparations to Poland after they receive reparations for the devastation their country endured during World War 1? Where does the repartion money come from? The government, right? Where does the government’s money come from? The people. I spent 6 months in Munich a few years ago and the people there are none too proud of that part of their past. Should they be punished? how Polish would you have to be to get money? The idea of reparations to me is ludicrous, since the subjugation and killing of people is the story of all of us. But at this time in History people in America seem to think that declaring their victimhood is some kind of activism and if they don’t declare it loudly they are somehow taking the issue lying down.
