My own opinion: it's because literacy and education have always been stressed. In order to be a good Jew, one must be educated in Jewish law. The stress on religious education and literacy has spilled over into secular education and literacy. More literacy and education equals more smarts.

Another explanation: Because of anti-Semitism, Jews around the world were banned from certain occupations, land ownership, etc. Therefore, Jews were forced into service occupations, such as medicine, law and teaching, all of which require extensive education.

Several answers:
1) Like other whites in America, Jews fear blacks because of the violent crime statistics. I live in St. Louis, which has lots of black crime in the city.
2) I think there's also the feeling that while both groups have been oppressed, the Jews have managed to make incredible accomplishments, especially in medicine, science & literature and the arts - way out of proportion to their percentages in the population. In other words, the Jewish response to oppression is overachievement. By contrast, some blacks seem to use their history of oppression as an excuse for lack of accomplishment. There have been notable blacks like George Washington Carver, but the most famous blacks seem to be those who've achieved in sports, which seems to accrue more benefit to the individual than to society.

The Arabs have: Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebannon, Turkey, Syria, Egypt, Saudi Arabia. Jews are not exactly welcomed in those countries. For God's sake, can't the Arabs let the Jews have this one little piece of land called Israel? There's not even oil there! Jews inhabited Israel long before the 'Palestinians' in biblical times. The Palestinians (Philistines) were invaders.

I don't recall Adam & Eve being married before procreating. None of the commandments prohibits premarital sex. Where does the bible forbid premarital sex? It's not in the Old Testament.

Though i'm a straight female, I took a Phonetics course in college & the professor was gay. He verified that, in fact, there is a recognized phenomenon called 'gay lisp'. Not all gay men lisp, but among those who do, it may have developed as a signal to other gays.

I've had a fair amount of experience with a variety of men over my 30+ sexually active years. I've only been with one guy who wasn't into foreplay. Who needs someone like that? It's either a matter of ignorance or selfishness on the guy's part. If it's ignorance, you need to educate him on the differences between male & female sexuality. If he doesn't care, he's being a selfish macho jerk. the best lovers are those who understand that the greatest pleasure comes from pleasing your partner. In my opinion, the ones who skimp on foreplay are just using a woman to masturbate against. I might add that when a guy does engage in foreplay, let him know, verbally & otherwise, how much you enjoy what he's doing. Move his hand a bit, if necessary or show him what you like. Help him learn what pleases you.
