  • in reply to: Why do people think gypsies are dirty and stupid? #21831

Well I know that Polish people have lots of prejudice against gypsies, simply because Poland is filled with many homeless gypsies who are beggars on the street. I came from a small village and one of my closest friends was a gypsy. She often said she felt everyone looking at her with dislike. In my village the gypsies living there were all extremely wealthy because the government recompensated them. This brought on a lot of hatred and mistrust towards them.

I received the same comments a few times from black people. A few times a black man would chat me up and say something like “well you must have gone to school ’cause you talk like a white person“ and when I was introduced to a friend’s friend, she asked how come I talked so good, and did think I was better then her? I think this is sad, why is being intellectual frowned upon by black people? I speak good English, because my father, who if Congolese, never approved any of us speaking less than perfect English or French. I know that many African-American will speak slang, and I understand if it’s the only thing you have grew up knowing, but it’s annoying when someone talks to me in a real bad English, while capable of speaking proper, and then accuses me of not being black enough! I am Bl

Let’s FACE it, everyone is racist. You don’t have to hate a particular ethnic group to be racist, it all begins with stereotyping. I think the reason many people don’t understand that whites can also be discriminated upon, is, first of all, because white people, let them be from Ireland, France…are regarded upon as the same, and people always say how white men and women never suffered, are always glorified. Well the Irish were frowned upon when they first came to America, the slaves are all considered to be alcoholics…Everyone profiles. It’s sad, but I doubt if it will ever change. I understand you may be angry, but look at it from someone else’s point of you. What is the ultimate social standard? A white Anglo-Saxon male. The glorification of WASPS is the Arian supremacy, but in subtle. A

in reply to: AIDS in Africa a white conspiracy? #21828

No offence intended but you are the one who should get educated. First if all Aids has indeed been first documented in the States. It was confused with Kaposi’s Sarcoma until the mid or late 1980s. Also it was indeed a white man, Polish, not American, who administrated the deadly virus to Congolese men and women. He was testing a vaccine against polio. It might not sound like a conspiracy to you, but to the countless Africans who die each year, yeah it pretty much sounds like a white man who came on their land and who, in trying to provide help for, again, the white man, spread a deadly virus to the African people.

in reply to: Reply To: Caring for biracial hair #21827

Well I am biracial as are my tow younger sisters and let me tell you that non of us has the same hair type. I have very fine hair, so I can’t use the same products that are used on african hair because their too rough. If your niece has curls that aren’t very coarse I recomend using prducts meant for arab women. If she has tight coarse curls, you should shampoo her hair only once every two to three days, otherwise it dries them up, and make sure to condition well. Products that are great for hair like that are Carol’s Daughter leave in conditionner! Good luck!

I know black women are famous for their curvy derriers, but it is not only us who have a booty! Lots of Latinas and Greek women have them too! I have a friend who is Egyptian and women in her family have the cuviest butts I have ever seen! Men go crazy for her wherever she goes!

in reply to: African Americans superior in sports? #21819

I think it goes back to our ancestors. In the Americas, black slaves had to work very hard and need their physical strength. I think it has been passed on, genetically but also socially (if you are the only scrawny black man in your family you are going to push yourself to be stronger). And consider those African men and women who are just as strong in sports as their American brothers and sisters. It has to do with your background. However, no matter what you are you can be a great athlete!

Of course it’s fear of the law, most importanly fear of the racsit law! How many black man are pulled over without any reason by white policemen? I guess they don’t want to give them more reason to stop them!

in reply to: Blacks afraid of cats? #21817

Well if the Black people you are referring to were Africans, it’s actually because there are many wild cats (and I am not referring to lions and tigers) in many African countries. The wild cats are really aggressive, so I guess experience taught them to be careful.

in reply to: America trying to get rid of Mexicans? #21816

The United Status have dipped into so many wars, that around the world you are called terrorist. I have lived in six different countries and let me tell you that the only reason you are not liked is because you are portrayed as ignorant rednecks who think themselves superior to everyone else and who have gained power by the sufferings of the destitute. And let’s face it, America is the land of the free, so why would you go against your belief and get rid of people who are there legally? To benefit the true Americans? And who are they? Surly not the natives that owned this land before you! Face it we are immigrants, and we have no right to judge who can stay and who must leave!

This is a racist and ignorant comment. When you have no answers you should abstain from speaking nonsense.

in reply to: Honors/AP classes: no blacks or Latinos? #21814

Racism is still present, but more subtle. We may be allowed to aim for higher education and better paying jobs, but the fact remains that Blacks and Latinos are seldom referred to in relation with intellect. We are to be artistic, capable of singing or dancing or else we are viewed as great athletes…but do you see many Blacks or Latinos as role mode for science or mathematics? No, therefore most teenagers do what is expected of them by the society and choose fields in art. Everyone stereotypes: Chinese are suppose to be very smart, Indians are suppose to work hard and become doctors…Is all nonsense, we are all capable of greatness!

The way children are raised in America is different from other countries, especially the older ones. I am part Congolese (Africa) and family is very important to us, as is the respect shown to our elders. Hitting a child is not frown upon, beating is totally different, and I agree, wrong, however the occasional smack is not a big deal. You may have seen only a part of what is happening, but I assure you that from what I have observed from my ethnic and white friends, the former are much more respectful towards their elders, so I guess the method works.
