WhenIi was in college, my boyfriend at the time and I were both inexperienced, and he was a good bit older than me. At 19, you're not an old maid by any stretch. In fact, it's probably a better time for you to think about things reasonably than kids in high school or even middle school can. Anyone who has a problem with your circumstances must be pretty insecure about their own choices.

have you never seen any rennaissance art? believe me, skinny was not in back in the day. botticelli's painting of venus shows the goddess of love, THE ideal woman, and i can assure you that nowadays she'd be considered pudgy.

Sneakers are even more comfortable. Even I can't walk down the block to the store as comfortably in platforms. But at least they beat heels,Ii guess.

i'm more concerned about the little boys harrassing them than pedophiles, because pedophiles will do their thing regardless of how the child is dressed. As a middle school teacher, I see this exact thing. The girls want to be cool, want to imitate what they see in the media, and often their mothers are trying just as hard to be cool so of course they'll buy their little angels whatever they want. After a sixth-grade award ceremony in which some of the girls looked like they were either dressed for the club or for prom, some of us teachers were chatting after school like: 'where the hell did she think she was GOING?'

i wouldn't think being a spaz would be that attractive. and i can't imagine any female would be in that much need of male attention. i am fidgeting 90% of the time, in any position, because i just can't sit still. the end.

i have no opinion on it being 'slutty'...personally i'd be reluctant to do it simply because it seems UNcomfortable. i'm usually wearing pants, and it seems especially unpleasant with my off-time uniform of jeans. ;-)

i try very hard not to cross my legs except in the 'manly' way because a high school choir teacher told us that pressure causes varicose veins!

my advice is leave this shallow, cold-hearted woman. you deserve better than that...someone who loves you as you are. that's what's important.
