NylaParticipantEverything blacks do is not done because it's gang-related. Long tees are only worn because of fashion. They just go with anything, and they're cheap, too! Young black boys don't focus on spending money on shirts, just jeans and sneakers. It's not that serious. Don't hurt your head or stay up at night thinking about an outfit. Are all whites who wear all-black outfits in cults?User Detail :

NylaParticipantNames in the African-American community are usually originated from something the parent has made up to display originality. This is not really a feat of 'who can make up the wierdest names' or anything, it's just that many of us may do someting like use unused letters and sounds like 'Q,Z,X,Sha,Qua, La, Na,or -ita; or even place different names together to make one. (Not like Mary-Ann or anything, which to many blacks is a type of bland and unoriginal name.') African Americans just like to stand out from the crowd and be unique. It's also not really that serious to us, either. Hey, what's in a name? It really doesn't make or break you.User Detail :

NylaParticipantBlack people feel you should not be at the age where you are able to walk, talk and play, yet cannot take the time to determine when you need to use the lavatory. Another reason is that boys, by age 3-4, and girls, by age 2-3, are too old to be peeing on themselves. Besides, what's the use of buying diapers when your child shouldn't be still in them, anyway? It's a waste of money and time.User Detail :

NylaParticipantit's not that they have to do it, it's just that black people are more reflexive or responsive i danegerous situations that white people are (well from years of observations of course!) and blacks also tend to have the urge to need to tell someone else when they might be in danger, it's also a part of why many, not all, blacks are boistrous. it's a reflex to put yourself in the same situatuation isnt it? well, blacks, may sometimes do it louder than others do!!!User Detail :

NylaParticipantit's a horrible way to refer to a black person in our point of view. Slave masters called their slaves colords because we werent the same... we werent good enough. It makes blacks think of a referral to slavery. not something we want to think of. No matter what it's forgiven but never forgotten. dont cross the line and go that far over the edge. it's just like the N word. It'll just set the world back to an era not too long ago once again. even if a black was to call me colored they're gettin the evil eye. i wish someone would..... Slave masters called us colored and we called them crackers.... it's harsh either way. Whites would get offended, so would i. and they're right, it's not the early 1900 !!!!!!!!! drop itUser Detail :

NylaParticipantDo not be decieved by the big towns or cities that it sounds to me like you are surrounded by. Not every American is the same way. My response to you is for you to go to a small culturally diversed town and ask the same questions that you did before.I know that the town that i live in is not like that at all. If u were to ask that question you'd get a willing response. You cannot conclude all americans as the same type. Different towns have different views, different states have different people. The U.S. is still great. You just have to get in where you fit in.User Detail :
