While I can agree with your disdain for a hyphenated America, I cannot agree that 'this' is what is causing many of today's issues. I think that the hyphenation phenomenon is actually a result of today's issues.

Dandruff is caused by dry scalp. Don't you think it's possible for Blacks/Asians/Hispanics to get dry scalp?

Often, when men are 'old fashioned' when it comes to the things that you describe, they also harbored sexist beliefs. That being said, everyone-man woman or hermaphrodite-should have good manners.

Some black people are crazy & some white people do hate blacks... though to reduce the 'hatred' to a simple issue of skin color is naiveté at best.

Why do you think that younger blacks share a monolithic viewpoint on this topic? BTW: If you think that racism & discrimination have disappeard-you are sadly mistaken.

Notice that another respondent equated a black person wearing their hair in its natural state in the workplace to a white man being 'dirty' in the workplace. Why is this? Sadly, if you examine his reply, you will have your answer.

The truth is that hair weaves, wigs and extensions are used by all kinds of women - just like make up. It's used to enhance a person's appearance. Even QVC sells hair pieces that are clearly designed for Caucasian women. By the way: Why are you certain that pasting hair on is a lengthy process? I would think that it's fast and easy.

'Aggression' seems like such a bad word. Let's use the word 'assertive' or 'confident'...
