E.K.G.ParticipantAs a Christian, I view homosexuality as a sin. We have different consequences for each sin, but sin is sin in God’s eyes. So when I tell a white lie, it is just as bad in God’s eyes as committing murder. I’m just as far from God either way. Christ came and has created a bridge to God, as long as we accept him as the Son of God and give our lives to him. He loves everyone, be they gay or straight, murderers or preachers. But everyone has sin. Yes, we can repent of it, but after that, it’s our job to try and not do it again. After you’re saved, it doesn’t mean you’re perfect (which I think many Christians forget); it just means you are saved. The reason Christians pay great attention to homosexuality is that it is a practice that many do not feel comfortable with, and is something that the Bible specifically points out, even (or especially) in the New Testament. Paul makes several references in his letters about avoiding homosexuality.
Homosexuality is a sin, and God does not see sin in degrees. But he does ask us not to keep going in our sin or make excuses for it. And despite the fact that God does not view one sin as worse than the other, there are different consequences for each sin.

E.K.G.ParticipantI recall hearing that Israel requires everyone serve the military after they get their education–women have to serve two years and men a minimum of three. I don’t know where I heard it, but I believe its a good idea. I think that a required stint in the military would give America a bit more respect for their freedom and for those who fight to keep it

E.K.G.ParticipantI do not care so much about hair. I’ve dated a guy who was for all intents and purposes bald (he’d shaved his head since sixth grade) and it never bothered me. You just have to find the women who look at you and not your hair

E.K.G.ParticipantI dated a guy I would consider ‘high maintenance.’ He had to be with me every day, call me every night, got upset when I didn’t call him as much as he called me and seemed hurt if I told him I just wanted to relax instead of going out. I have met several men like that, and now I immediately run the other way. Why? Some people say it’s because I don’t like commitment (boy, I sound like the guy generalization), but I think it’s more that I need a little space in a relationship. Do other women feel the same way? Guys, do you feel like you need to know what the girl you’re dating is doing every waking moment? Do you feel like you have to see her every day? Why must a relationship be so stressful?
