You are young but should already have noticed the hypocritical, double-standard gender gap. A word for the man who sleeps around is slut or bounder; another is cad. Sex is not the way to find out who loves you. It only tells you that they find you desirable. Giving them what they want will make them happy, but if you sleep around, you will wear the slut/whore label until someone notices we like sex, too! Wanting the best (physical, intellectual, nicest) man to make a child can drive a female to want sex with more than one partner, the same as wanting to spread their genes can motivate a male.

I am not qualified to define pedophilia but as a woman who was a girl and a mother of a boy I am going to take a swing at this. My mate and I are 2 years apart. I was 13 and he was 15. Believe me!, at that time he seemed like a mature, older man to me! I think a boy your age find the girls your age intimidating and more developed emotionally than he is. I believe you are drawn to younger girls because to them you can be the older male protector. While liking smaller breasts may be part of it I belive you will find them less threatening, interesting and able to enjoy the things that entertain you while they look up to you, giving your self confidence a boost. Just remember, they trust you to care for them and protect them, don't betray their trust.

I can tell you that sex is not the way to find out who loves you. Sex only tells you that they find you desirable. Many men, when their hormones are raging, would go to be with Medusa ( look her up, Greek mythology). Giving them what they want will make them happy but if you sleep around you will wear the slut/whore label until someone notices we like sex too! I think, myself, I always try to be friendly, I don't assume a man is wanting to date me. ( I usually assume a man will try to get me in bed, however.) If you're just walking up to total strangers for no reason and striking up a conversation they may think you are hitting on them. But to share a comment on a class, event or in a work setting you are both attending would be seen as 'being friendly'. I am guessing you think too much, my daughter is like that, alway analyzing a situation instead of just enjoying it or exiting it if it is making her uncomfortable. Don't worry so much what others are thinking, just enjoy being with them, even just for friendly conversation.....it can lead to more later.

I think you will pretty much find a percentage of either sex that have to have excitement all the time in their lives, even if they have to create it by stirring people up with envy or jealousy. It is also true, however, that it is possible to have friends of the opposite sex JUST for friendship. As a musician I had friends that were of all colors, genders, and sexual preferences and rehearsals meant spending a lot of time with them. My men knew I was into the music and dealt with it or wandered off because they couldn't handle it. Make sure it isn't just YOU being jealous. But YES, it's not just men who play games.
