Wow! What a cruel thing to say! I happen to be a CNA/Home Health Aide and I find that comment extremely offensive! First of all, the '$6 per hour' remark needs to be directed to the 'class' category in this website so we can chew your ass up. Second, I support my two children on my salary and they aren't starving! Last, I would like to see RN's and doctors make it without our expertise. When you are old and feeble you'll be thankful for those who 'can't tell a spleen from a kidney.'

Are you saying that 'slang' should be recognized as a language? Accents and foriegners who do not get the English language correct is something completely different. I think what we are discussing is the way some people choose to walk around degrading the English language. The ones who know how to speak but don't. There is a time and place for 'slang' and in the work force it is not appropriate. In general, I do believe that I have heard more African Americans using bad English than any other race. I'm sorry but this is lack of wanting a job in my eyes and lack of manners. Just to clarify, an accent is the way something is pronounced. I am from Texas and I have an accent but for the most part you would not know that had I not said it. However, the 'accent' you are referring to with blacks is something they usually write also. I'm sure you've heard a white person speak and someone say 'He's just trying to act black!' This out of the mouth of a black person? Laziness. That's what we should name the 'new language'.

I agree with your thoughts about the month issue. I believe that ALL human being should be celebrated at ALL times. That does not, however, say that we should choose a month for it. If so then lets choose a month for all races. I also agree with African American history. I believe that in the future there will be more written because of the time that has past since slavery, etc. History is just that...history. The BET network, however, I disagree. I don't think it is any particular reason that most networks are white owned, written, etc. I don't know of any station that specifies a race like that. Besides, what other interests do they have that we don't take part in also? Enough that they need their own station? The fact is that if someone created WET, the African American community would see it as racist. It seems to me that they are constantly seperating themselves in minute ways and then complaining on the contrary. It is the same when they continue to go around calling each other 'N****'. I will never understand that no matter how they justify it. The power issue isn't white people's fault, it's their own. They do have the same opportunity if they choose to take advantage of it because if they didn't then there wouldn't be any successful black people, and there are. If you look up the poverty level by races, the percentages are as specified: White 9.9% Black 23.6% American Indian 25.9% My question would be that if the black people in poverty are there because of lack of opportunity or racism then what is the white people's excuse?

And nobody believes 'whites' suffer from discrimination? Hello! I notice that you chose not to specify what race you belong to. Imagine that!

I think it has something to do with the fact that men are clowns and want to have something funny to joke about. I'm sure there are women who have an odor, mostly from a yeast infection or something similiar, but for the most part your vagina should stay clean and odor free. It is fact that it is more harmful to douch considering you are washing away natural body fluids. It is 'self-cleaning' as put before. You actually increase risk of infection with the douch. Don't be alarmed by men and their antics. Get with a mature male and you won't have any problem!

I didn't see anyone post anything about drugs or being 'dippy in the head' except you. The comment on not wanting anything to do with males is the most racist thing I've read on this post. I've seen plenty of females in these clubs and I'm pretty sure you would take their money just the same. You have to keep in mind that it doesn't take a rocket scientist to take off your clothes, so if you don't feel appreciated in that occupation then it would be totally up to you to change it. Men aren't racist if they don't find you attractive because of your color. Do us a favor and read up on racism!

I completely agree. I think the word 'racism' is over-used. People need to start researching what it actually implies before tossing it around in conversation. A consumer is not being racist because they don't find African-American women attractive. In business in general you have to sell what your consumers want, and if in that particular club the majority of patrons want to see Caucasians then it would be a major faux pax to have a club with much else. It sounds as if they are implying that there are no clubs with the majority being black. How about the fact that they are basing this on men? Is that racist too? I've seen plenty of women shelling out money to exotic dancers.
