You miss my point entirely. People who want to use the power of government to mandate thinking globally acting locally are pushing the idea of not shipping food beyond a certain area If a food doesn’t grow locally, you’re not allowed to have it because it pollutes too much to ship it. No matter what city it is, none of the major metropolitan areas of the world are capable of producing enough food locally to sustain their population for a single day. However, the so-called “greens” don’t really care about the loss of human life. All they care about is controlling civilization. It would take a failure of that magnitude to make people wake up and realize how stupid some of their ideas are. Danny PS- and for the record: The US force here is barely a token force. The DMZ isn’t called a “speed bump” for nothing. The North Koreans are much more frightened of the South Korean Army than they are of any US force. It will change over time, and the person has to be very aware of what they are doing. My son suffers from tourettes, and while he was growing up, he stretched his face with a facial tic to the point that he came down with impetigo. Later, in high school, he couldn’t walk through a door without turning around 360 degrees after entering the room. The difference however between OCD and tourettes is that the the OCD person gets no comfort from their OCD. The tourettes’ sufferer is actually soothed by whatever their OCD is. Before you feel too sorry for the people who lost, maybe you should look at the practices they carried out as well. As an example: Europeans didn’t go and chase down AFricans and enslave them. They bought them from Muslims and other Africans who chased them down and enslaved them and then sold them to get them out of their “hair”. With the exception of the Vikings and the Celts, women have been treated horribly throughout history, being little more than and sometimes a lot less than property. Western thought and culture has started changing that around the world. It sounds to me like you’re buying into the whole “white guilt” thing that says that whites are evil and our history is one of evil and conquest. The problem is, so is everyone else’s. We just happened to be the winners. If you look at some of those cultures who lost, ask yourself- would the world be a better place had they won?
