DannyHMemberThe difference is that Christians and Jews aren’t currently hanging gays in the streets, chasing little girls back into burning buildings because they aren’t covered, and aren’t killing women for the crime of being raped; nor are they passing laws justifying marital rape. There are many active mosques that are calling for the death of polytheists (usually aimed at Hindus) and the enslavement of anyone who doesn’t convert to Islam. Your statement was a nice platitude, but it does not hold up well in the light of reality. The evidence of Islam’s intolerance is everywhere to be seen, by anyone who would open their eyes. However, political correctness does not allow for that. I look at what happened to the 2000 year old Buddaist statues in Afghanistan and I weep. I look at what happened to the churches in Turkey and I weep. I look at what is happening in Denmark and I fear for the Temple at Upsala. Where ever Islam goes, civilization is frozen in time, and there is second class citizenship for women, for Jews, and for Christians. There is death for everyone else. Those are the facts. To make comparisons to Jews and Christians who don’t practice the points you make is disingenuous because the Muslims DO practice the ones in the Koran. DannyHMemberActually, recognizing marriage based on religion is not a function of government. A more equitable and Constitutional approach would be for the government to recognize all such unions as Domestic Partnerships and leave the definition of marriage up to the individual denominations. That way the government stays neutral, and if a Baptist wants to not recognize a gay couple’s wedding in a Unitarian Church as a marriage, they’re welcome to do so. This keeps the government from giving one group of people’s religious values the force of law. No law should exist that doesn’t protect life, liberty, or property. DannyHMemberNot if that’s an article of faith of that particular sect or religion. I’m not a Christian, so I don’t have a problem with Catholics referring to Mary as a Virgin. If it’s not part of your faith, don’t worry about it. If it is, and you have a problem with it, I’m sure you can find a denomination that agrees with you. The point is: It’s their right, and since their use of the term has no bearing on you what-so-ever; then why worry about it. That is unless you think that it somehow endangers life, liberty, or property. (And I’d like to see that argument.) Life’s a banquet and most poor bastards are starving to death!

DannyHMemberActually, there are many Asatru kindreds who are very accepting of gays. When my very close friend Ryan (gay and asatru) died, we had a special wake for him with my kindred at Sunnafest. Ironically, our steward and his wife were the only straight people in attendance- all the rest were either gay or bi and were asatru. It depends on the group. DannyHMemberI don’t know. Maybe to make the world a safer place. Why don’t you ask all the dead buried at Normandy. Maybe they can answer that question for you. Or maybe ask the the former residences of West Berlin who were there during the American airlift. Oh, I know, why don’t you ask the survivors of the Holocaust. Maybe ask the survivors of Saddaam’s rape rooms. Sometimes interfering is the right thing to do. Life’s a banquet and most poor bastards are starving to death!

DannyHMemberOr Sadaam Hussein, or Osama bi Ladin, or Josef Stalin, or Mao Tse Tung, or Fidel Castro, or Che Gueverra- all of these people have killed hundreds, thousands, and even millions of people, yet you pick a very small political group here in the US. Why? As to answer your question: There’s an old southern saying, “Some people just need killin’.” Life’s a banquet and most poor bastards are starving to death!

DannyHMemberFirst and foremost, let me say that I’m bisexual, so this isn’t just some backhanded answer. Your question is about as fair as “So, when did you stop beating your wife?” People can disagree on on the issue of homosexuality without it becoming an “I hate you issue.” I know many christians who feel that it is morally wrong- I happen to feel entirely different. It is just as wrong for you to accuse them of wanting gay youth to commit suicide as it is for someone to come screaming at you telling you that you’re going to Hell because you’re gay. As long as people don’t try to give their personal beliefs the power of law, I don’t care what they believe. I think you might want to go back and rethink your question a little better. DannyHMemberMen hire hookers for one reason: To go away. There’s a sexual encounter and then the woman is gone. There’s no after sex conversation, there’s no uncomfortable next morning. When it’s over there’s not attachment. It’s that simple. Men don’t hire hookers so much for the sex, as for simply not being there when the sex is over.
