No matter if it’s a drama, a comedy or a cartoon, you can bet that the thickest character will have a southern accent. Now, contrast this with the fact that the stereotypic “rocket scientist” is a man with a leaky pin in his pocket, thick black glasses, a southern accent – and works for NASA. Go figure.

It’s a private property issue as far as I’m concerned. If you own a business, you should have the choice of making it smoking or non. If you want both, then accommodate both, but the government nor anyone else should not have the right to tell you what to allow in your own establishment unless it is illegal. I would love to see a federal class-action suit filed on this issue.

If that’s not good enough for you, then note this.. Children grow up and learn whether their parent loved them enough to pay, no matter the circumstances. Children aren’t interested in a line-item receipt. They look at the big picture.

Different cultures have different ideas about what that entails, but I think most all would agree that causing pain for enjoyment is the epitome of all evil. Two evils that in my opinion cannot be rehabilitated are child molesters and animal abusers. They should be incarcerated for life with no chance of parole. Vick for one, should still be behind bars.

If it’s a minor situation, he/she will do so, albeit with a red face. The point is to nip it in the bud and show the class that the behavior will not be tolerated. If the kid doesn’t obey you, he/she should be sent to the principal. Discipline is lacking in our schools today. Not your fault either. Teachers get no respect and are afraid to take charge because of the “touchy-feely” attitude that is so prevalent today, which is ruining our kids and actually “creating” bullies.
