Since the beginning of "white" America, we have been conditioned to believe we are entitled to whatever we want. Regardless if it's right or wrong, white people still hold the most power in this country and it's a chip on our shoulders that we carry everywhere.

When I go out (which is rare) I choose to drink beer. I can't speak for everyone, but I pick beer for a couple of reasons. First, it's laid back. I would rather drink wine, but ordering a glass of wine at some hole-in-the-wall bar feels snobby. Second, it's a very uncomplicated order. One or two words and you have your drink. Third, it's always the same. Everytime you order a mixed drink, even if it's from the same bartender, it's different. They might pour too much liquor, too much juice, a different brand of liquor, etc. To sum it up, I drink beer because it's simple.

haha! I don't think most of us are able to move our butts like black women can. I wish we could! Many black women have "high" butts. Next time you're standing behind a woman, notice the curve. White womens' butts don't start until further down than black women.

I've heard this before. It's not that we're dirty. Most of us shower. Black people smell musty, and I'd be willing to bet that black people shower just as much as white people. We have different oils in our skin/hair.

I think Anitra is is a nice, strong name. I don't think you'd have trouble being taken seriously. The more extravagant names are kind of silly, especially when they have crazy spellings. Check out the book called Freakonomics. The entire last part is dedicated to analyzing names and how people fare with the names they're given. Personally, I would find it very difficult to take a person seriously with a name like the ones I think you're referring to, but I'd have just as hard a time with a grown man named Joey, or a woman named Madison, Maticyn, Katie, or Keighty, Mercedes, or Chastity(which Freakonomics says almost always ends up a stripper). Kids with funky names are cute, but not when they grow up and want corporate or executive jobs.
