The term Anglo, as applied to white Americans, Canadians, or Australians simply means you are a native English speaker. Just as the terms Latino and Hispanic mean a Mexican, Cuban, Dominican, Chilean, etc. is a Spanish speaker. Not all Latin Americans are the same race, but are still Hispanic, and not all white Americans have English heritage, but are Anglos. Get it?

I like that kind of body myself, but you’re right a lot of white men dont. I think white men often wont talk to non-white women b/c they think black/latina women want a black/latino man and b/c white men are often seen as ‘sexually inferior’ to ‘ethnics.’ I have heard this from the mouths of black and ‘ethnic’ women and yes this does make me think that they are not interested in white men.

Berbers calling thereselves Arabs? Is that refering to their culture and not race, like Hispanics? It is my understanding that Arabs and Berbers were two seperate tribes, until the Moors of course. The reason i asked about white was b/c of Arabs like the late King Hussein of Jordan and Pres. Assad of Syria who look as white as me.

But the Philistines and Canaanites were defeated by the Hebrews. Ive read, however, that the Philistines and Canaanites assimilated with Arabs of that area (adopted Arab/Islamic culture, Arabic language, etc.) and eventually ‘melted’ together, if you will, and whose modern day descendants are they who are called the Palestinians.

If you mean they are claiming ‘victim’ by speaking out against bigotry or injustice, they are merely doing what any person who believes in equal human rights should do. If you are refering to one who blames their entire life on the fact their ancestors were slaves, etc. That is not an ‘African American feeling,’ as you put it, but any person unwilling to accept responsibilty for their life. It is always easier to play victim rather than assuming some blame yourself.

The US flag flew over the capital of many a slave state, not to mention Manifest Destiny (stealing land from and murdering Indians and Mexicans) declared in the name of the USA. The North was founded and built on slavery just like the South. So if the Confederate flag means slavery, the US flag means slavery and genocide. By the way Abe is not the mythical liberator of blacks many would have you believe, he was as racist as they came. Read about the REAL Lincoln, he couldn’t’ve cared less about blacks. He declared war on the CSA to ‘preserve’ the Union, he didnt care about the well being of any African-American. Lastly, the CSA was wrong with slavery, but they did not commit treason, there is nothing in the constitution that says a state(s) cannot withdrawal from the union. Meaning the ‘Civil War’ was not only unconstitutional, THERE WAS NO CIVIL WAR. The US invaded the South and captured it, period. Remember, the South wanted independence, not to take over the North, as Lincoln wanted, and did to the South. Same thing is going on now, if Hawaii wants independence, there is nothing in the constitution that says they cannot have it. If Key West wants to declare independence from the state of Florida and the USA, so be it. Same for Puerto Rico, if they decide they dont want to be a territory anymore, give them freedom. If we dont we are acting as imperialists not a ‘democracy.’

As for textures: Orientals, Eskimos and Amerindians only have straight hair, though Arabs, Aussie natives, and South and East Indians vary a little in texture, i think. As far as why? Geography is my best guess, but that explains little (esp. the color issue).

Though I don’t think there are any pure-blooded Hebrews anymore, they probably completely mixed with Europeans since their exile from Israel millenia ago. The ‘I’m Jewish’ is probably the same reason a half-white, half-black person may often say ‘I’m black.’ Society regards and treats them as such, hence they identify with that heritage the most.

I just wanted to explain the origin of racial classification and you can do the math to update it to today. 1st of all Spanairds ARE Caucasions (and considered White as well). 2ndly Hispanic/Latino is NOT a race, it identifies Spanish speaking peoples, decentants and cultures. According to your writing you know this already. So why are you equating culture/native tongue with ethnic background?There are Latinos who are Spanish, or Amerindian, or African, or a combo of any of the 2 or all 3. Now if a Spaniard is Caucasian, an African a Negro, and an Amerindian a Mongol, how could a Black Latino, a White Latino and an Amerindian Latino be the same race just b/c they speak the same language and share a simular culture? are you saying had they been born outside of Latin America and spoke another language they would now be of a different race, despite the fact they would still have the exact same genetic make-up? Do you follow me? 3rdly ‘white’ has only become synonimous with Caucasion in recent years. The original definition of Caucasion applied to peoples who were mostly NOT white. Arabs, Indians, Persians,… what im trying to say is that color was not originally a factor in race, but physical traits. If it was color than Sub-Saharan Africans and Australian Aborigines would both be of the same race, b/c they both have brown to black skin.

Why, b/c it is undubiously understood in American culture that painting your face black, putting on an afro whig, waving foam chicken wings and agitating the opposing team with ghetto talk is racist (which it is). But for some reason wearing ‘war paint’ and a feather headband, whooping, dancing and waving foam tomahawks, and basically making a mockery of Native Americans is seen as ‘honoring Native American bravery’ as ive read in many newspaper articles on those who advocate these teams. It wasnt all that long ago when cartoons on tv portrayed Blacks as having charcoal black skin, ruby red lips, and being dancing, singing, watermelon chomping, chicken bone licking fools. The cartoons have since ended. However, I suspect it will be harder to change any of these people’s minds since the team names have been with these schools for generations, as have the families. Hence, ignorance is a part of their culture. Can you believe they actually think they are honoring Native Americans? Most of them probably know little to nothing about the culture, as is evident by the names and mascots of these teams that are riddled in stereotype. I think in general many whites cant understand what is racist b/c for far too long they have been the discriminators (not to mention the privalleged majority) and rarely to never have been the discriminated. However, when the table is turned on them (ive heard expression of discontent over the ‘Fighting Whities’ name from whites) they suddenly get very defensive.

In the documentaries about UK punk rock groups ive seen they cant finish a sentence without swearing.
