I begin by teaching that there are many ethnic backgrounds and being blonde haired and blue eyed could only mean several of those many heritages are “a part of” who we are (Caucasian white) We are a big category all lumped in together. I wouldn’t begin to try to teach my child how to be white, or black or purple. I would devote time to teaching how all people are the same (compassion) and how we all have feelings and emotions (empathy) and I would spend the time teaching my child about the many ethnic backgrounds that we all come from. I find studying and learning about cultural differences interesting and so does my child. We also spend time learning about people who are disabled and/or different as the occasion arises. We learn that some people are just better than others based on what is in their heart and spirit and not what is on the outside… not skin color or if they look different / same. We spend the time we have to teach to learn to look for “qualities” in a person that are valuable and good and to choose friends based on those qualities. Just today we finalized our adoption of a little white girl and I’ve no intentions of spending time teaching her how to be “white” but will spend our time focused on how to be a good human being and an asset to the world around her.

I wasn't aware that it is a fact that white women are more prone to yeast infections(?) But, to answer part of your question... women get yeast infections most often as a result of taking an antibiotic. The vagina, mouth, intestine (and other body places) have naturally occuring bacteria and yeast that when 'balanced' keep each other in normal ranges. When taking an antibiotic the good bacteria is killed along with the intended infection bacteria and the yeast gets out of balance. Yeast infection can present as 'thrush' common in babies treated with antibiotics, intestinal yeast infection, skin yeast infection as well as vaginal yeast infection. Yeast infection alone doesn't have an odor to it (so says the medical community.) A secondary infection may be the cause of the odor, I honestly don't know about that part. Most doctors now will treat the 'known' side-effect of yeast inbalance at the same time as beginning anti-biotic a Rx is given for the coming yeast infection. This isn't an issue just for women though, men have the same (bacteria/yeast) and it will get out of balance with use of anti-biotics as well but is usually confided to the intestinal or thrush locations of yeast infection.

I don't find your conclusion to be accurate of most white people. (Skipping the inferiroirty, never heard that.) I think (for women) black women are, studies indicate, far more satisfied with their bodies and they don't feel the need to change anything regardless of size. In a poll that was done on campus' around America it was found that most (well over 90% of white women) believed they were to fat and would surgically alter one thing or another -- black women in the same study group were very happy with themselves just the way they are and wouldn't surgically alter a feature. I'm not jealous that black women are able to be so much happier with themselves as they are I juse wish that 'feeling' and 'self-esteem' applied to the majority of women regardless of race.
