PeteRParticipantWhere I live, I’d say the worst drivers are young (early 20’s). If someone speeds by doing 80–in a 55 zone– and cutting in and out of traffic its usually a young male. The split seems evenly distributed between white, black and Latino though of course there are far more more whites where I live. When I see someone distracted when driving (makeup, talking animatedly with passengers, talking on the phone or texting!) its usually a young white woman.

PeteRParticipantJust curious about what you meant in your first sentence. Progressive radio (like Air America) is hardly borderline communist. What would pass for borderline communist-type of radio (like WBAI in New York City) don’t consider themselves progressives. My point is be careful using loaded words like communist is association with the progressive movement.

PeteRParticipantFirst, you’ll need to be VERY specific as to what you mean by anti-Catholicism. Some examples would help (and not just generalities) Secondly, Catholicism is the largest religious denomination in the US and the world (over 1/6 of the planet are Catholics) so what you may perceive as “a lot” is just proportionally appropriate.

PeteRParticipantOf course one can admire beauty in the human form. The underlying assumption in my question though was when women make comments about the male butt in a specifically sexual way. Not just for admiration. The same goes for when I said men look at breasts with acts in mind. I meant when they are looking at breasts in a sexual way, although that’s not always the case. That said, let’s be honest: I’d wager that most men who find a woman’s body attractive would be sexually attracted to some degree as well. And while eyes, as well as personality attributes, can create sexual attraction, I doubt it would do so greater than other areas I mentioned. By the way, most men aren’t as discriminating as the media would have you believe. Having a ‘so-so body’ doesn’t mean we don’t think about touching it.

PeteRParticipantJust wanted to point out some flaws in your statements. The argument that God created Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve is somewhat pointless. No one will deny that homosexual sex can’t produce offspring. And you’re arguing that only people who can have offspring can have sex, are you? BTW who married Cain and Abel to their wives? Be careful about trusting English translations of the Bible. The context for some of these passages is for prostitution not gay sex in general, for example.

PeteRParticipantThere are a couple of flaws in your reasoning that may require you to re-think your position. Just because marriage is defined a certain way doesn’t mean the definition can’t be expanded. A ‘homemaker’ used to mean a woman but now means men as well. Marriage does not naturally produce offspring. There are plenty of married couples who can’t have or don’t want children. Should they still be allowed to get married? The fact that anectdotal evidence shows gay unions are not monogamous is troubling, however it’s possible that because no formal marriage is possible for them, it leads to the degeneration of relationships. Therefore, marriage would be a desirable goal for everyone.

PeteRParticipantIn my experience I would say that whenever I encountered someone speaking what I thought was loudly, about 3/4 the time they were black. I have experienced this when I travelled as well as growing up in New York City. But I don’t think that ALL black people talk loudly. I am curious about why it is as well.

PeteRParticipantActually I WAS sore afterwards but that was because it was the first time I had ever used a condom and it was a little snug! I did find the experience disappointing however. I was excited during it but as it was with someone I only knew casually and was not expecting it beforehand, it left me strangely unfulfilled. With later relationships it was much more fun.
