The right, nice guy won't care one bit that you tremble. Get out there. He's looking for you, too. Have you tried one of the online dating services? They usually give you a long 'talking time' prior to being able to have a face-to-face date so you usually know up front whether or not the person is a good match for you. People that are caring don't care about things like trembling hands. And, have you thought about using bar straws and sipping through them without touching the glass? What about gripping with both hands, in opposition to each other? Would that mute the tremble? Finally, bottles of beer or even the new exotic vodka mixes are very hard to shake or spill with a tremble.

You received enough 'you go girl' remarks, whith which I agree whole heartedly. But listen to this old man ... Get out of that company. They don't deserve you and they have some type of corporate culture that you probably won't change. I experienced this several years ago when I was a senior executive and world-renowned expert in my field of science. I was recruited by a seemingly normal big company to take over a division. The first executive staff meeting resulted in me being rudely told how stupid I was, followed by assignments from my boss that were at best, clerical level. I fought them for 3 years. Nothing changed. I wasted 3 years of my life. Look at the news and business magazines that feature The Top 10 Companies For Employee Satisfaction, or surveys like that. Send your resume to those guys -- soon.

We don't really know your neighbor's full situation. He most likely is on disability because something about his dangerous and high stress job has contributed to his weight problem. Nevertheless, you take the position that is taken by many people -- even doctors -- and that is, 'fat people just need to use a little self-control.' Rarely. Eating too much, for many people, is no different than being an alcoholic ... except alcoholics can go to AA and get the support to never put another drop of alcohol in their mouth; but, food-aholics must continue to put some type of food into themselves, usually resulting in a relapse and regaining of the weight. Remember, walk a mile in his shoes.
