Your point about non-heterosexual people in effect living in a veritable sea of advertisements for and reinforcements of heterosexuality are well taken. The same sort of thing happens to the non-religious vis-a-vis theists (particularly Christians), but that’s a different discussion. Being open about one’s sexual orientation will not always be easy, but it is considered worthwhile to do so (it is by me and my partner) for various reasons too complex to describe in detail here.

Being gay, I can only report what straight males SAY about why they ask for anal sex (when or if they do). The reasons tend to center on avoiding pregnancy and a belief that the woman’s anus will tend to be ‘tighter’ than the vagina.

Human societies tend to be bigoted in various ways. That is the ‘normal’ situation (for some value of being ‘normal’). What is ‘normal’ is not necessarily right. It can be very destructively wrong. I note that bigots whose bigotry is the majority attitude invariably flatter themselves that their bigotry is morally correct.

What constitutes ‘masculine’ or ‘feminine’ dress and behavior are social constructs that have changed considerably over the centuries and have differed widely from place to place. What people do or don’t find attractive differs widely from place to place and over time. And yet some people are shocked when others don’t conform to some Theologically Correct model of appearance/behavior.

To some extent, non-religious people don’t have much choice about ‘celebrating’ Christmas, at least in the USA, where it is, in effect, shoved down people’s throats. However, you can bet that even those non-religious people who do use the holiday season as an opportunity to get together with family/friends do not use Dec 25th as an ‘opportunity’ to celebrate the alleged birth of a supernatural being in which they do not believe.
