Maybe because they know something you don't know.

I don't think all men do. Some might because tradionally women have been property, and the 'virgin' property was worth more money because she wouldn't carry diseases or know if the man was a bad lover. I think you should have sex for the first time with a man who doesn't value you for your virginity, but values you as a person first. If the guy you are with prefers virgins, you may have a problem later when you aren't one any longer.

I wouldn't give up my college education for anything; I'm glad I did it. However, I also know that there are PhD.s out there bagging groceries. Having a degree isn't going to propel you to the top financially. And there are also lots of people at the top financially who don't have an ounce of class. Class is more of a character issue than a money issue. Education is needed for being considered higher class, but it alone won't put you there. You have to be a good person, too. And that means the kind of person with a conscience, a well-rounded education, good manners and good personal cleanliness and habits.

He may not think he is gay but he sounds gay to me. But I wouldn't say for sure either way, only he can decide that. I wouldn't make any long term plans though, you may be disappointed later when he decides he really is gay. The oral sex thing is ridiculous though, not every man in the world enjoys having oral sex done on him. Nor does every woman.

Because they are conflicted, they want comfort yet want to fit in in our male dominated society that demands a woman wear uncomfortable clothing to work. European culture is more sexist than American culture, so women wear sneakers so they won't injure their feet as they walk to work. Once they get there they may injure their feet though by doning those incredibly stupid high heeled shoes. The real question should be why don't women wear comfortable shoes all the time?
