I'm surprised you've never been friends with an African-American woman. I think you are too worried about doing the 'wrong thing' instead of looking for commonalities and shared or similar interests, which are the usual starting places for friendships. What do you have in common with this other woman? Why do you want to get to know her better? What can you bring to a friendship? Remember, you are both women, as well as co-workers. I wouldn't get hung up on the race issue. Just be yourself. Be a friend. Why not go out to lunch or even just meet for coffee or tea? That's a good way to start. Even if she has a lot going on, you could get together for 30 minutes to talk.

I am going to answer this via a Christian viewpoint. The 10 Commandments is a unit of basic law that God gave to Moses to present to the Israelites -- a set of laws to live by. There are many other rules and regulations listed in the Old Testament that were given for a particular situation, such as dietary, social order, etc. that are not pertinent for us today. In fact, there are verses in the New Testament where an old rule is shown to be no longer valid. Peter had a vision where God told him it was no longer necessary to follow the strict Jewish dietary rules he had always followed. This vision also served to inform Peter that it was OK to speak to/associate with/teach non-Jews. Of course,Christians break the rules all the time. Why so? Our faith teaches us that Jesus Christ came to fulfill the law. As God's son he paid the punishment for our sin -- our infractions, our law-breaking. Does this mean Christians should do whatever they want because we know we will be forgiven and covered by God's grace (unmerited favor)? No. Paul tells us in the New Testament that grace is not a license to do whatever we want. We still need to be striving to keep the 10 Commandments. They are very basic instructions on how to live. Honor God; love one another; honor parents; live justly, etc.

It's not the most interesting question I've seen on this site. However, a quick answer: halitosis, gum disease, poor nutrition or even the use of some natural supplements, such as garlic, can cause this. Offer the offender a stick of gum or a mint, if you are in the position to do so.

I think dreams reflect worries that we carry inside. However, I wouldn't give literal interpretations to them. A book on dream interpretation might be helpful. I dream frequently that I can fly - like Peter Pan - but I don't plan on jumping off a roof to test that ability! I've had the school/not prepared for finals, etc. dream, too. I think that means you're a conscientious person and have a fear of failure. I'm still not sure about the tooth dream. Could it be you are hesitant to speak up about things that are important to you?
