lhMemberSome showers (a brand: Oras) come with a special shower head that’s actually intended for massaging shoulders. Instead of a continuous flow they generate powerful pulsed bursts. These are very good in de-shampooing hair. When it is set on very low flow, it can be used to clean the posterior canyon without touching it with your hands or any kind of an object.

It’d be untrue to say these specifically correlate: many Islam-practicing countries treat women comparatively well, and many non-Islamic countries are misogynist. It’s not mandatory in any country. However, some misogynistic cultures in Africa virtually force the mutilation: should a bride say no, she is mutilated in a more violent manner. It’s illegal and not practiced elsewhere, save for the odd case of immigrants here and there.

On the other hand, the separation of church and state is not the reality. There’s a state church that receives money taxed from corporations. Allegedly this is to maintain the graveyards of the churches, the only places where burials are legal. To answer the original question: atheists have widely differing views, because atheism refers to an abscence of, not inclusion like theism. My view is that ‘God’ is not offensive, but putting religious elements into national symbols is mixing religion – a private thing – with a public context, which is bad. I have mixed feelings of our flag, which carries a blue cross on a white background.

Most of pornographic films are. However, there are amateur pornograms that aren’t: pair-bound couples coupling. Discerning this from pornography might be difficult. — With this in mind, we could formulate the kinds of ethics there are. First, there are those who think their religion is against pornography. Those break down into political pornography haters (‘should be banned by law’) and the unpolitical (‘a sin, but shouldn’t be actively banned’). — Then there are those who are against prostitution. Most cite women’s abuse as a human rights violation. This view may or may not be connected explicitly to pornography, but by definition of pornography, it should be. — Some value systems condemn sex in other people’s view, e.g. Eastern religions. The reason for condeming pornography is that a naked body is unaesthetic. However, pornography isn’t seen as an explicit sin, and prostitutes and their clients aren’t persecuted. — The liberals (not equivalent to U.S. Democrats!) think that pornography is perfectly acceptable, as long as its conforms to some general ethical contract. In the west, this excludes child pornography and bestiality from the ‘accepted’ list. (This isn’t the general contract everywhere.) — Normative statements (opinions and such) follow. — I’m a liberal. So, in my view, considering that the persons involved are consenting, and good ethical and aesthetic judgment is exercised, pornography is perfectly acceptable. Restrictions to pornography should be in place to prevent the abuse of human rights. Pornography has some potential of a demerit good, but not all the time, like tobacco. It is most definitely not a sin. — Pornography will be supplied by the market economy no matter what, and making it illegal ultimately harms the law. Actually, my reaction when pornography was LEGALISED in this country a few years ago was: I never knew was it ILLEGAL? What the hell have the politicians been thinking the whole 1980’s and 1970’s? — I agree when someone says that there are problems in the porn industry. Abuse is commonplace, but this is not an inherit problem and doesn’t provide sufficient grounds for a categoric condemnation of pornography.

The United States and the Soviet Union have fought over the world in the Cold War. Soviets were active and dangerous in trying to get Communists to power. (This country was one with this problem. Luckily the Stalinists screwed it up and a market economy was sustained.) It was against U.S. policy to allow any kind of communist to get to power in any country, no matter the cost. Hence U.S. support of Pinochet, Suharto, Saddam, bin Laden etc. Those all fought a war against something that USA didn’t like at that moment. This has not ended with the Cold War. Very, very far from ended. The United States just went to war to destabilise Afghanistan and conquer an oil supply in Iraq. USA actively fights for its interests. Get over it. … Why do then the Arabs seem so militant? This is not overly complicated. Since 1970’s the economy of the Arab world has stagnated 0.3% but the Western world has enjoyed a huge growth. It is a fact that differences in wealth intrisically fuel conflicts between people. The islam faith has history of fanaticism – just as violent as the Christians have. Had the figures been the other way, some Arab would be posting that message.

lhMemberFemales with little hair have been admired before the concept of ‘cosmetic company’ was invented. Removal of pubic* hair was considered the norm for women in ancient Egypt’s aristocracy. The equivalent of ‘cosmetic companies’ were slaves, who really couldn’t be blamed like you do, could they? Your theory has been falsified. Grovel. =) The reason for preferring females with little hair has everything to do with the level of estrogen. Hirsutism (male-like hair) indicates excessive testosterone, which ultimately leads to irritability, instability and poor fertility in females. The same reason goes for preferring blondes: the blondiness of hair actually correlates with the level of estrogen. The trend* to systematically remove pubic (and genital) hair has resurfaced, but this is not the invention of ‘companies’. Nude photo-, and pornography is usually credited. I’d point at the general increase of sexual freedom. Those who wanted to remove pubic hair at earlier ages weren’t aware of the possibility, couldn’t do it, were forced not to, feared of being frowned upon etc. and didn’t do so. Now it’s possible. * pubic = appearing at puberty. * trend = a pattern that can be noticed over a long period of time, i.e. more than ten years
