My friends have had trouble in NC even though her husband is almost passant blanc. We never had a problem in the cities or on the coast anywhere we have been in the South. I am vampirishly white and my husband is from sub-Saharan Africa, so there is no uestion of anyone being passant. The worst we were ever treated was in Cincinnati where we were given our food to go in three restaurants and our expensive hotel room was never cleaned in the entire time we were there. Here in New Orleans, no one looks at us twice.
