I am a lower class white guy, I grew up in a neighborhood where white people were the ‘minority’ and I think the only white people that feel threatened by an educated black man (And there are many of them!) are the rich and those seeking to retain a controlling interest in social power. I think this question and the point it raises is one more about Social Class Heirarchy than it is race. Because where I grew up there was all colors of people; white, black, mexican, indian (American), asian, you name it. We all got along just fine.

I think America is run by bankers and oil barons, if anyone cares to notices it is never in regions of abject poverty with no redeemable natural resouces that our great ‘American’ crusaders jump to defend. It is always the adolescent middle eastern countries or the old cold war era soviet buffer zone countries. IF we as Americans are so damned concerned about human rights then why aren’t we bombing China instead of Afghanistan? The hypocrisy of our country’s leadership is amazing and at times (like now) makes me ashamed of my nationality.

Ohh, and poor folks of other colors are treated like kings and queens? Ohh yeah and only in poor white neighboorhoods do people fight? Look, the facts are the poor folks (of all colors) fight because they already put up with enough bullshit in their lives they don’t need to play the little fake games that rich folks do. If I’m poor and you piss me off I might as well punch you in the face because it ain’t gonna cost me anything and I damn sure ain’t gonna get kicked outta the country club.
