Being only 21 it might be helpful to hear the perspective of someone a little older. I am a bartender and as you may imagine I meet a variety of people. It may surprise you to know that almost every sexually active girl I know has numbers similar to yours. Most of them live in Colorado Springs, which is really conservative. If it happens there, it happens everywhere. That being said, I don’t think you should worry about it. Get tested, and assuming you are negative, just go with the flow. The right guy won’t care, and chances are he and you will have similar numbers, anyway.

I have been a bartender for ten years and yes unfortunatly it does seem true that minorities as a general rule do tip less or not at all. That being said, I’ve had amazing tips from some of them, and horrible tips from whites. I hear the ‘I don’t have any extra money’ line a lot, my anwer is, in my profession you end up working with lots of disadvantaged people. They still tip great. If you don’t have the money, don’t go out. It is an insult to us, and how would you like to not get paid? Think of it as good karma. P.S. I don’t mean this to offend anyone, and I certainly respect what they do for our country, but GI’s of ALL races tend to be the worst tippers in my experience.
