It's pretty presumptuous of anybody to try to tell someone else what sort of music he or she ought to like. I grew up during the classic rock age, and I listened to big band music, jazz and classical. I learned to appreciate the likes of Buddy Holly much later (though I still prefer Duke Ellington). Life is too short to spend any time resenting someone else for liking 'my' music.
