Teaching students from Asia in Australia made me realize what a double-bind is. I was explaining that in an examination I needed students to use their knowledge gained from the subject, and to take the unknown situation posed in the exam and use their own knowledge as well to create a coherent, well-explained strategy. The Asian students pleaded with me to tell them what they needed to answer. I explained that Western education required students to build on the knowledge offered in the subject, even to build a case against it. I realized they felt bound to believe me in a Confucian sense. But I was asking them to disagree with me, and justify it!

The real explanation may lie in the fundamentalist, literal interpretation of 'Biblical' Christians - so common in the United States, so uncommon outside it. But there are cultural things: wine in southern Europe accompanies food, and children drink small amounts of wine from an early age. Spirits (whiskey, vodka, etc.) are not used by many people. In Europe, 18 is the age of adulthood in law, and of universal access to places where alcohol is served. If you mean that Europeans seem to accept premarital and extramarital sex, you are right. Acceptance is there, but many people do not do it, preferring to remain faithful.

What you observe is not practiced outside the United States. CNBC Asia - an English-language program for Asia and Australia - uses both men and women of all races. The United States seems to be very backward compared to Europe, Asia or Australia, preferring men to women as TV authority figures; and I assume network figures worry about Asian men, by virtue of their gender, being seen to be in authority. Presumably they feel Asian women, of the subsidiary gender, carry little threat to the audience.

My ideal woman will look after her weight and skin, and dress without undue fuss. She is also missing both legs. I have learned that very few people can say they are attracted to so-called disabled women. To me they are simply abled differently. I find that way of being infinitely attractive.

I suspect your biggest problems will be in high school. When you move on to the university level, things will be very different. Yes, we guys - in most cases - prefer ladies not much above "well-covered." Yes, there are men who prefer larger ladies, but most will only admit it in their 20s! If you want more choices, then maybe lots of exercise and losing weight will bring you into contact with good guys.
