Well there are a few reasons you may hear as to why you may find young males wearing white tees. The first reason is because it is hard for the police to find the wrong do-ers since most of the guys on the corner will have on a white tee and perhaps blue jeans. I never noticed that until it was brought to my attention. The next theory is that it's just a fashion trend. There was a hit song here in Atlanta this summer entitled 'My white tee', and this would lend credence to this theory. You may have some people who would say the first reason may be far fetched, but it really isn't. How many times have you seen youth with cornrows (braids) and khaki pants? Well this is another fashion trend that derived from an unintended source; The prison system.
