CheronMemberHere it is: These ‘cop cars’ (Caprice Classics, Lincolns and the like) are used automobiles that the police forces put on sale at a very reduced rate, due to the great deal of wear and tear on them because of the demands of police officers. I used to be an auto mechanic, and the transmissions of these vehicles are usually stretched to be breaking point. These cars can be dirt cheap, and law enforcement can write them off, so young people, not black people, can purchase them as first cars. (There is some irony to it, which I won’t go into.) This isn’t a race thing. I am from the Detroit area, and you can see old cop cars everywhere

CheronMemberDon’t feel bad. I’ve been this way my whole life! I used to wonder why, and then I just let it slide. I try to make sure I am kind and non-abrasive, but otherwise I try to still be me. That me is very strange! I would recommend that maybe you see a counselor so he or she can help you with the rough parts about yourself and help you appreciate what you have to offer.

CheronMemberI think you should just ask them. Don’t say anything like, ‘I can’t tell what you are.’ Just say, ‘Where is your family’s origin’. Otherwise just let it go. You can’t tell where, one black person or white person originated from. It’s the same thing for people of Asian descent.

CheronMemberI dated quite a few white guys upon growing up. They were usually afraid to ask me out. They laid it on the line and told me they were afraid because they didn’t think they stood a chance with a black woman. I think it could be a courage thing. However for me, any man that is drunk and asks me out has no respect for me, white or not. Chalk it up to fear and put your mind at ease.

CheronMemberI think you are paranoid. I am a brown woman and don’t think I stare overly much. I do think you should concentrate on yourself and not worry so much about what you believe others are doing. If they are staring, let them. How many times do you see these people anyways that they have such a profound effect on your life?

CheronMemberWell, there is scripture that mentions ‘spilling one’s seed.’ It’s deemed a no, no. However, it could be connotated as another way the bible uses the word seed, and that is as a metaphor of faith. I do believe under the auspices of marriage that masturbation can be a part of a healthy couples marriage. I am not against it and I do adhere strongly to the guidelines of my faith and God’s word.

CheronMemberWho says that they aren’t all ‘American’? Who knows where we came from originally? I don’t. Some black people came from other countries. Some did come from africa. Many of the faces you see are decendents of numerous races. I am of some sort of ‘African’ decent, I also come from Native American, White (whereverthat may be) and French-Canadian. I look black and so does everyone in my family. Do I say I’m African american? Also, British men and women of African decent don’t walk saying they are African British? What about the Blacks in Canada? It’s absurd to ask Americans to walk around saddled with yet another title when there are so many other places that black people reside that you can accost. Also, if the seat of humanity comes from Africa, shouldn’t you say that the white people should call themselves African as well. The native americans too. Oh and people of latin and chicano descent too. Don’t forget about the asians. All I want you to see is that this seems to be more about you and your pride of country, than about commen sense about who the young people and the ‘others’ of the United States.

CheronMemberMost people are a product of what they eat, what they wash with, what they put in their hair, their make-up, and gender. So some things can make a person or group smell a certain way. for instance, for many women, if they eat fish, their urine and female areas can take on a stronger smell. The same with asparagus, I believe. (I think that’s the right veggie). Also what a person washes with, or how often the wash, some cultures don’t use deodorant. It’s all relative to their makeup. Don’t even go into the onion and garlic lover’s smell. LOL! Ultimately, You should try and get away from the generalization of a ethnic ‘smell’. You will probably be wrong.
