Being born a white female of Southern parents, I would have never dated a man of any other race when I was younger. It wasn’t because I thought I was better. It was because I knew my parents and grandparents would have been upset. I am not like that today. I know that it would still upset my father and grandfather, but I also know I have to live my life for me, not them. I can’t change who they are, but I have full control over who I am. Some of the girls you encounter who act this way may just be plain snobby or small-minded. Others may just need to mature beyond what they have been taught. Some may need to realize not to fear what they will lose if they are themselves, but fear what they will lose if they are not themselves. Some of them just may not be attracted to you, but that doesn’t pardon their being rude.

I have been a young woman trying to prove myself at a new job. However, I am white, and I have never dealt with racism in the work place. I know it happens, and that it is real. You have one more obstacle than I did, and I will not presume to know just how that obstacle measures up to being young, and to being a woman. If you are successfully obtaining a double MBA, then you are you are smart enough, and you are driven enough. It is true, what Dorcas said, no one can make you feel inferior without your consent. Finish your education and charge ahead. Since I have not had your exact circumstances, I don’t have the exact formula for success that you need, but I do know the formula for failure is quitting.

I have three children. I do not care about the sexual orientation of their teachers. My only concern is that their teachers can effectively teach them what they need to be taught academically.
