Wow, Von, It’s really hard to know where to begin. First,when Europeans have dominated all Western instutitions of power for so many years, imagine how pervasive our perspective is! We have not a clue of what to value in other cultures. The intelligence you speak about has gotten us ecological destruction and into a world mess that threatens to blow up the planet, and have all of humanity become extinct. Gee, how smart is that? The USA is so huge and isolated we’re like fish that can’t even imagine water (it’s all around them so they can’t know water till they feel air). Whites are like that: we don’t know how ignorant we are until we look from someone else’s perspective. What you call ‘intelligence’ others might call ‘undeveloped’. Why do we always get to decide which is better? I’m not self-deprecating, just admitting that we have a lot to learn. Whites need the structure of being ‘politically correct’ because we’ve been so insenstive for so long that it’s our social responsibility to listen for once. The only reason ‘politically correct’ exists is that those in power ALWAYS expect others to see things their/our way. Perhaps we need to be more thoughtful about other people instead of just calling them ‘OVER sensitive’. Just some thoughts. I hope you get lots of responses because I think you’d be happier if you had some more conversations about this stuff.
