lanceMemberYayoi: I understand what you're saying about not applying U.S. ways of thinking to your living conditions in your part of the world. But it is very strange here in America; the culture, especially the television/movie media, is saturated with images of Asian women (Japanese, Chinese, et al.) dating either their own, or white men exclusively - nothing else. I commute between Virginia and New York frequently, and I tend to see Asian women dating white men. If I were to give a percentage to the number of couples of this type, as opposed to Asian women dating blacks, it would be 95 percent in favor of whites. I don't know why it's like this over here; it just is.As for the cartoon Draemon, I've never seen it, but I am more than willing to take your word. It is true, though, that in much of the anime (at least what's released here), there is a tendency to make the characters look as Caucasian as possible. I'm sure this is a marketing decision to increase sales (people view certain kinds of movies to see characters they can relate to). I'm not trying to counter your position; in fact, I empathize. I'm just trying to explain the way things seem over here.
I hope this doesn't put you off on traveling to the United States; there are certainly better things here to be concerned with.

lanceMemberWhat does that phrase mean, 'way too ghetto'? I'm African-American, and I've been hearing that phrase a lot from people who aren't black, and I find it offensive--especially in the context of your reply! Does this mean, to you, that maybe a black woman in a porn film(or even in real life)should/would put up with such behavior, but it's far too degrading for a 'pristine' Asian woman such as yourself? I would love to hear the explanation for the usage of this phrase!User Detail :
