if you ever find out i’d love to know. I am Irish and Italian as well, but on top of that I am part Native American but mostly caucasian, so I feel like I have to overlook offensive remarks cuz I don’t know what I can do to change it. People need to get over whatever has happened in the past and realize that someone from my generation (no matter what race) has not negatively contributed to their ethnic history. Like It’s all about love people…

realizing your ignorance is a very good thing. In my class there are a couple black people and it is so nice to see just see us all blend together in teams,…carrying on everyday converstaions..no superiority, inferiority; and the judgements are decreasing. I am not sure why it has taken me a while to feel comfortable talking with blacks the way i would to those of my own race…I think I am just paranoid about being offensive to people I don’t know well in general. But we should all be treated equally. So if a homeless person is broke then there’s no reason why we can’t all help eachother out. last week i asked to borrow a Black man’s notes…a year ago I am not certain i would have so easily. I am sure you’re leading a bright path to open-mindedness and self-exploration. We all have room for improvement! peace

I think all people are beautiful. I don’t think Asians are any uglier than any other race. I think there’s more of a variation in size proportions with Caucasians, blacks, etc. as opposed to Asians. I have met some nice-looking Japanese people before.

i think that the media is some what to blame. I am a brunette, and have only recently (leaving teen yrs. behind) felt adequate while standing next to a ‘blonde’. I personally have met some guys who prefer a natural look whether they be blonde, brunette, or red heads. I think it’s almost a male american standard or something like that…If a girl has big boobs, blonde hair and is waifly thin she’ll ususally get attention.

Ignorance perhaps. I am not sure whether you have observed this, but I have: many homosexuals humorously refer to one another as being ‘so gay’ and things like that. If you watch the show ‘WIll and Grace,’ you’ll understand what I mean. It doesn’t really make it OK, though. As long as they aren’t offended, I guess. I think people just shouldn’t say things like that, just like the ‘n’ word, or the word ‘retarded’. All of those things seem like ignorant comments. I am disappointed in our society for prolonging the lives of insensitive terms that should have died out a long time ago.
