ummm i can honestly say that i can be loud at times when i get overly excited and am not paying attention to the increasing volume level of myself. but i don't think that has to do with my race because my best friend is puerto rican and russian and another best friend is armenian and the same thing happens to them. i also talk really fast.

i think it's very wrong for only the woman to be treated like this especially in this day and age. i'm all for keeping traditions alive but some of them need to go. to stone a woman for being pregnant out of wedlock is barbaric and should've gone out back several centuries ago. it's not fair that for the most part in so many places still women are screwed over for being women... hello! pregnancy is a two persomn thing so what happens to the guys?

maybe you could get them something like a display of flowers or plant life. that shouldn't be too offensive.

think of a deaf person who learned ASL first then learning standard english as a person from say china learning english. it's learning a new language. depending on the age of the person or how well they pick up new things it might not be easy for s/he to learn english... it's hard enough learning a new language after a certain point when you can hear. it must be extremely difficult to be deaf and do the same thing because you wouldn't hear the proper sounds of the language(s). and i think most people write how they talk so if you're sentence structure when you speak is in the order of say verb, object, subject you'll write like that instead of subject, object, verb.
