To Jon, I do not believe that most young black people feel that they deserve slave reparations. To those who do I feel they think the world should bend over backwards for them and that they use black history as a excuse to not get off their lazy ass to earn a living and to self support themselves. A lot of them in my opinion could care less about how our ancestors suffered, the Civil Right Movement or Dr.Martin Luther King Jr., but as with anyone when the ‘green paper’ is involved they suddenly want to cry grief and pain for the suffering of other blacks. I am a young black female and I don’t mind working to support myself and earning what I have. I don’t want slave reparations because I’ve never lived in that era and it is arrogant to mooch off people because of what happened to people who lived centuries ago and whom you will never meet nor care to.
