It’s unfair to say that terrorism is an Islamic invention; before Muslims, there was Hitler and other terrorist groups. Terrorism is a reaction to certain circumstances people do not like, regardless of their religion. What some Muslims do by using force and guns is not allowed in Islam. There is a text in the Quran that defines the kind of relationship between Muslims and non-Muslims; it says that every non-Muslim is a human being having the full rights of humanity, and he should be treated with justice and equality, on one condition: That he is not an enemy of Muslims and does not threaten their religion and their land. The problem for Muslims now is to show the world their right face – and make people trust that Islam is a religion of peace.
