I'm of Italian and Portuguese descent, but of course I always get grouped in as 'Caucasian.' I know that if I don't wash my hair daily, even if all I did was hang around the house or go to the movies, my hair would be super greasy close to my scalp. I'm not a sweaty or pimply person, but my hair is too soft, I guess. Believe me, if you want to know why so many white girls wear hats, it's not because their hair looks bad, it's because they didn't have time to shower and it looks greasy!

To be religious? No. Religion is just a term for a belief system. To be Christian? Absolutely. To believe in Christ, you are really also believing in God because they are one in the same and I don't know of any Christian faiths that don't believe that. There are plenty of times in our lives (especially when we are young, I'm 23 and in San Diego also) when we have trouble with religion, faith, what have you, when it seems easy to say 'I don't believe.' I just went through a period of that myself. But when you come back to God, and realize that he is ALWAYS there for you, no matter how much you stray, you will be sad you left and I assure you you're faith will grow stronger.

We are not honoring the Trinity with the cross. Yes, we honor the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, but the cross is a remembrance of how Jesus died to save us all from sin.

Black people have more burdens, Cherita??? You're right. I don't have to worry about the fact that I couldn't get financial aid when I only made $15,000 a year. I don't have the burden of the cancer that just ate through my cervix. I don't have the burden of a family member dying or a job loss, or a car accident. You know why? Because I'm white! Lucky me! HA! Remember that we are human beings, not colors.
