Most religions are strict. But if Catholicism is strict (and I’m a Baptist, OK?) it’s because they’re doing a pretty good job of striving to maintain the demanding standards that God has for us. The problem is we all carry the ‘sin’ disease, which makes us lean away from His standards. It ‘cripples’ us and makes these perfectly good standards of God impossible for us to keep. That’s why it’s strict. It’s like trying to walk with a broken ankle and complaining that this walking business is too strict. Fortunately, God offers us a relationship with Him that guarantees forgiveness for our failures, and a new heart that will lean toward the standards God made for us. Email me and we’ll chat.

I am in a loving happy marriage that after 15 years is rock solid. When one of us is in the mood and the other isn’t we compromise. This means that sometimes the one who isn’t in the mood will go along with it and see if they get into the mood. Other times the one who is in the mood will be willing to wait for another time. In any event, the RELATIONSHIP is far more important to us than the sex. If you insist on your own way – whether you’re the one ‘in’ the mood or ‘out’ – then you are damaging the relationship. If you’re a couple that is in it for the long haul, then you’ll be sure to have your priorities in this order, and not the other way round. Hope this helps.

Why not hang out with the students you come into contact with at college?
