Time with my Dad was very important! I would describe myself as a Daddy's girl and even now as an adult make a point of spending time/calling my Dad. As the sole provider, my brother and I knew he was busy and stressed, but that did not stop him from spending time with us on weekends. He used to put us to bed and night and I can still remember him taking the time to blow dry my hair just the way I wanted it or later on a a teenager the conversations we had while going to syncronized swimming meets. Those were the best because I had his undivided attention and we talked about anything and everything... it is very important to play a active role in your childrens lives. As a result of the closeness we have, I feel I can talk to or come to my parents with anything and that is a nice feeli

I'm not sure that it is only limited to white women, but sadly I think it is a sign of the times. Everything is about convenience and rushing to stay ahead. Overall as a population we move less, eat more and less healthy. If you look at the average portion size in say the 50-60's and today, you will find that they have doubled, tripled... and the most popular foods are loaded with fats and sugars.

While this may be true, why is car insurance for males higher?? We may be statistically worse drivers, but the wrecks we have are generally less severe/less costly than those created by MALES!

In my opinion it depends on the disability and the environment they are raised in. If they are raised in an environment where they are predominantly with people of their own ability level, then probably less so than if they are in a "mainstream" environment. It also depends on the reception they have gotten from others around them. Here in Jacksonville we have the "Girl Without a Face" (not mentally challenged, just physically),Discovery CHannel did a special on her among other things and if you read the stories the news have done on her it is very interesting. Juliana is the name of the girl and she goes to a regular school now and one of the stories they did related her introduction to kindergarden and how those children went from pointing fingers to being her friends. I am willing

Why not? I personally don't bake myself, but I like a little color.. the "non ghost" stage as I call it... and living in Florida if you spend any time outside, which I do you tan anyways...
