I’d say that as captain of the team, part of your responsibilities include helping to ensure the welfare of each player. Why not try talking to the kids who have been drinking and gently voice your concern rather than turn them into the authorities? As captain, you probably have more influence over them than adults do. And as a sidenote, I’ll add this: teenagers experiment. Drinking may not be healthy, but as long as the kids are drinking responsibly (not driving drunk, damaging property, stealing alcohol, etc.) I wouldn’t be too concerned. Unless these kids are showing up to games drunk, I’d leave their personal lives alone.
