Robert L. ReedMemberThe issue is not that it is OK for black cops to kill white people. It is that it happens overwhelmingly to black people by white cops. Of course, cops are going to kill people at the wrong time, but cops seem to kill innocent blacks far more than they do whites. Case in point: The case of the NY cops in 1999 who shot a black man 41 times after he reached for his wallet. That is an amazingly high number.
The issue is racism that cops display regularly against blacks. Cops have a reputation for being notorious against people of African descent. With the hell that ordinary cops make black people suffer through every day, it isn’t surprising that blacks would be outraged when they hear about white cops abusing black people.

If you notice the African American segment of the population, you will notice that we come in different shades, and that’s the one drop rule. Even blond/blue eyed people were classified as black because of the one drop rule. The one drop rule is an obsolete standard based upon race, as it is scientifically known that African Americans are 30% white on average genetically.

Robert L. ReedMemberIt is not your fault that you have these racist tendencies. The reason why you have them is because of your conditioning. As you were being raised, you were continuously bombarded with stereotypes. These stereotypes might come from the media, from television, movies, books, peers, parents, the teachers, and even political leaders. These images were subconsciously embedded into your head. It’s just a fact of everyday American life. All 273 million Americans have been exposed to these stereotypes. The sad thing it that most people don’t even know that they have these racist tendencies. I believe that the only way to get rid of these is to remove the illusion that we are all seperate. When we realize that we are all the same being, these tendencies will dissolve.

We think that it is very cool, like 10C in the summer time. We tend to think that the snow is 1 to 2 meters deep. We also tend to think that around 25% of Canadians use dog sleds.

Robert L. ReedMemberAs an African American, I do not approve of black people using that word. I want to get that out of the way. When black people use the word, it has a different meaning. The word ‘nigga’ is used in the same vein as ‘buddy.’ Also, it can be used by a black person to insult a lower class black person who give the entire race a bad name. The reason why a white person can’t use that word is because it represents a 500 year history of slavery, rape, colonialism, lynching, and every bad thing possible. Whenever a black person hears a white person use that word, the images of rape, lynching, being second class, and centuries of systematic and personal oppression come to mind.

Robert L. ReedMemberI simply don’t know. Some African Americans do, some African Americans don’t. Most African Americans put some blame on white America for their problems, and they are right. Others believe that all problems are caused by the white man, and that might not be far from the truth. However, we should not put the resposibility of ending racism, and helping blacks to whites. If we want to improve our conditions, we cannot rely soley upon whites to fix the problem. However, blacks cannot improve their conditions without white people because there is still so much racism in society. In order to improve, blacks have to either move out and form their own nation, or whites and blacks have to work out the problems of racism.
