I would sincerely hope that African American women NOT take the ‘route’ you’ve taken. I honestly do not understand how any Black woman could lay down with a white man, in light of the racism that still exists today. Personally, my strong Black pride, dignity and sense of self worth would not allow me to, if you’ll pardon the expression, ‘stoop so low’. No man can love, respect and understand me the way a Black man can. It’s just a matter of finding the RIGHT brotha. Until then, being alone is a better option than disgracing myself and my parents by bringing a white man into my life. Not to mention, I truly believe that white people STILL feel a strong sense of superiority over Blacks, and generally have no respect for us. Lastly, take a good, long look at that white man when he snuggles up to you…and remember Justin Volpe. I’m sure his girlfriend was quite shocked to learn that he participated in sodomizing Abner Louima. Then again, I can’t understand why she would be; I certainly wasn’t surprised in the least. I’m never surprised by the things white people do to Black people.
