I would like to first start off by saying as a black female i recognize that through my experiences black people do tend to be a little bit louder then white people. If your neightbor politely knocked on his door and was cursed out it would seen to me that it’s not a black/white thing. It looks like your friend was taken for a joke, your new neighbor immediately saw this man as weak and having a lack of confidence in dealing with the situation. Then he called the police when he threatened him; that’s like telling the teacher in school when a bully sticks his tongue out at you, that was probably the reason for the beer cans on the car. You new neighbor is probably a bully. My advice is to send someone who’s confortable with black people and who’s confident to have a talk with you neighbor after they’ve befriended this person. Even the most ignorant people in the world can simply be talked to if approached properly.
