    As a black person who does not think it is OK to be loud at the movies, I think your question should be why are POOR black people loud. Sometimes people who feel powerless assert themselves in a disruptive manner in order to feel more powerful. Poor white people don’t have such a great reputation, either.

    Darryl, in my opinion, racism is such a bad thing that people don’t want to talk about it. I also see that it is a valuable tool in keeping the general power structure of this country within a certain demographic, like sexism, and other ways of discrimination. Lastly, I fear there may be some people who truly believe that racism was ‘solved’ in the 60’s.
