Michael E.ParticipantYeah that was pretty dumb and lame to I might add. Blacks as a whole don’t have a soft drink preference one way or the other. Perhaps it looked that way to you bcuase the place you eat lunch at is just one place. Check and see what other drink selections are offered there besides the red or orange drinks. I don’t think your observation carries any merit what so ever.

Michael E.ParticipantPersonally I don’t think most Black People like to be called African American. The African American term is used mostly by white people. First because it is ‘cleaner’ persay than using the term ‘Black’ which I myself along with most ‘Black People’ prefer. African American is used for a number of reasons one: to remind us of our hertiage and two it is ‘cleaner’ and socially correct to say African American as opposed to black. The term African American I think was coined by Jessie Jackson and we all know he had his own agenda.
