If you are a follower and a believer in a certain religion, you might feel like it is your job to help others see what you are experiencing. I don’t think these guys who go door to door are harmful or annoying, they are just doing what they think God wants them to do. As a Christian, one should spread the word of God and tell of His great works. A person might feel as if it is their duty to mission to others. They aren’t trying to bother you, just educate you on what you could be missing.
